I'm getting nervous I bought a fake Gucci tote. Because I'm noticing the pattern is slanted in this picture at the top:

But I don't know if that means fake for sure, and I really have no idea because this will be my first Gucci bag. I bought it off eBay for almost $300.

Sorry, I've been really anxious to know so I'm posting again. I've already paid for this bag.

Here were the other shots:

I got it from here:
eBay Seller: shopping addict06: Women's Accessories, Handbags, Clothing, Shoes Accessories items on eBay.com

hi there
sadly it looked fake to me

The inside is completely wrong. The canvas and leather are horrible. I'm not sure Gucci even made this particular bag and color combination.

Thanks, you are the only one that gave me any constructive advice. I honestly feel that if people are going to give a "nay" to an item, they should say why. It is really no help to just yell 'FAKE". :hysteric: Afterall, that is why many of us are here to learn about products.

Is it because of the pattern being off near the top on that side of the bag? Do you think there's a chance it could still be real based on things when it arrives?

Thanks!

Post a picture of the inside tag when you receive it. I am concerned about the seller's private feedback and the fact that they seem to have a huge supply of brand new bags.

Now this seller has another one... with exact same images. Don't know what this means... I can return it, but I am hoping it's real (still waiting for it-- hopefully by the weekend it will be here). I was just reading another thread which was about "AAA Replicas" and found this bag on it but in black, and it looks exactly the same, and has the inside tags just like other ones on eBay where they have taken those images. But I'll still post the inside and other dimensions.

But the description of the auction mentions: "To prove authenticity, we will enclose a Gucci sanitized invoice in the shipment."

Is this worth anything?

^ No, I do not think the receipt will mean anything since it is easy to make a fake receipt. I read on this forum that some sellers sell templates to create all kinds of fake receipts.

I just took a look at the sellers other items and some are definitely off so I am thinking yours will be fake also.

I just got the tote today. I think it's fake. I got it off eBay, and they accept returns but there's actually some other things wrong with it! I don't know what to tell them! There's GLUE on it, and some kind of dark blackish-green paint on one of the straps! It seems flimsy, and the Gucci stamp on the hardware is getting covered by another part of the hardware.

here's pics of that, and other aspects:

micro cellphone holder:

GLUE: rubbery glue on this bag...

And a pic of the actual bag I already posted. It's not even that same one with the slant on top either. The straps are flimsy... it doesn't look like it's real. I have a Coach bag, and I know this isn't Coach, but I can tell just by how it's made that it must be a fake Gucci bag... I wish I had known before I gave them any money or bid.

Anyone know what to do...? Just let them know I'm returning it, or include why I am?

Say hey I'm returning this fake bag to you on top of all the defects?

I can't edit again it looks like. But I emailed them stating it was fake because I am so sure even by holding it because I've held this bag before-- the straps are so flimsy and the hardware gets jammed when you lift it up.
I mentioned all the crap that's wrong with it, too. So... they better get back to me.
Here's the full bag, I figure I should include that

Yes, unfortunately it looks fake. It is good you mentioned all the other things wrong with it too, since they should let you return based on that also. Hopefully, you will get your refund.

Can a refund be guaranteed even by eBay? Just curious... they haven't responded yet, and I don't really think they're going to, to be honest. I even mentioned it was so obviously fake, which they "guaranteed, or my money back" that it was real, in the auction... I'm not sure what to do though when they don't respond.
