gosh, winternight, i wish i knew the answer :hrmm: ...it looks good to me, but i'm not too familiar w/gucci totes...a good friend of mine has one though in brown & i could ask her what the serial # is

Aw thanks. I've asked the seller for more pictures and where he/she purchased it from. I may just break down and buy something at Gucci's June sale, even though it'll have the red and green stripes.

Luxx, i'm 100% sure the black one is fake & 99% sure the green one is too...i've asked the seller to send me the serial # & she refused to answer my question & told me to pass up her auction :hrmm:

I have a belt bag by gucci and on mine the flap has the word gucci embossed on it. I bought mine from ebay but compared it to my bro gf who got hers from Neiman marcus and it was real so im not sure.. if yours is real and im not sure they even make that color. I will post pic later

I went to Gucci with my bag and they said they are not allowed to authenticate bags. Does anyone know any other avenues to have a Gucci "bag" authenticated?

Thanks:shame:

Hi all, I'm a new member/first-time poster to the forum...

bjc, I have heard from many other bag-lovers that Saks is willing to authenticate purses. However, I think that also depends on how friendly your closest Saks SAs are.

I also had a question for those out there who own a Gucci Blondie bag...a few weeks ago, in a blind lust over this bag, bought one off ebay. I was not totally sure about it's authenticity at purchase, but it's on it's way to me now, and I have a bad feeling its a fake. Any help in authenticating would be appreciated. The auction # is 6879317900

guess i was lucky & was able to sweet-talk the gucci SA @ saks fifth avenue nyc into checking my bag (it turned out to be a fake  )...i'd go to a department store during off-peak hours (early AM or before closing)...i was also told they weren't supposed to do it, but they helped me anyway...i was able to get my $$$ back & eventually find the real thing on e-bay ...you can also post photos on this forum & we can try to help you out with it...the most important thing of all is making sure it has the right serial # ;)

yikes, windykat, i'm so sorry to tell you this, but that isn't a real gucci blondie  ...i know because the same thing happened to me...please PM me & i'll tell you all you need to know to find a real one...also, make sure you get the seller to refund your $$$...i e-mailed that seller recently & told them it was a fake bag :yucky:

p.s. real gucci blondie's have serial #'s starting with 13

hmmmmmmmmmm, i'm not as familiar with that style gucci bag gingerB :hrmm: ...my advice would be to call up a gucci store & ask for the serial # associated with the bag...then contact the seller & ask for a photo of it...if they refuse, it's a pretty good indication they're hiding something ;)

I'll do that!
