Wow, I am really not sure, but one thing I did notice is in picture #5 (last one on the second column) 1st seam on the bag, the G's are all over the place, some are up, some are down, some you cant see. Now I have seen Gucci bags (mostly vintage), where the G's arent always symetrical, but not quite to this extent. IMO this looks a bit shoddy. Now I have seen the black marker thing before...but I cant remember what it is indicative of, but it would be real easy for anyone to take a black marker & mark through a tag, not saying this is what they did, but it wouldn't be hard to do. Maybe Emald, Hurley or MssMelanie will come along and give a 2nd opinion as I cant say for sure.

I have a bag I am trying to authenticate, and have posted a few different questions, with no pictures of the bag, but have not really gotten much response. If I post pictures of the canvas, the front and back of the tag and the hardware, would it be pretty easy to authenticate the bag for me?

In person the bag looks really good, so my concern is that I have a really good counterfeit. Would you guys be able to tell from the photos? Thanks!

A few of the details that make me comfortable it is authentic:

1. High quality leather and stitching, leather smell, high quality fabric lining and zippered pocket
2. Hardware looks like the authentic bags
3. It is not a really popular bag
4. Dustbag looks like one posted on here that is authentic, even the stitching on the white tag inside is in the same pattern


A few things that make me uncomfortable:

1. So many counterfeit bags, and although this one is not one of the real popular ones, it IS monogram canvas which seems to get faked more
2. Glue looking substance on the back of the tag (serial number side) and I thought I heard that this is a sign of a counterfeit, however I have seen tags posted here on authentic bags that have the glue. So I'm really confused on the "glue"
3. Stitching on one area (by hardware on strap) is kinda crooked - not sure if this is okay since it would be difficult to get it perfectly straight, but it seems that everyone says Gucci is so precise on details.

And most importantly that I have looked at a ton of sites I found on Google for the mirror image bags and they scare me they look so good. Next time - GUCCI STORE!

Maybe somebody could help and let me know if any of the concerns are incorrect, and what pictures would be good to post. Thanks,

There are some bags that are hard to tell unless looked at in person, but I would go ahead and post photos of the bag. You will get a better response, since it is hard to say anything without even seeing a photo.

I have seen this seller's items before. I would ask to see a picture of the serial number, but the bag looks ok to me. The bottom of the bag does look a little funny, maybe it has been repaired? :confused1:
