I recently bought a Gucci horsebit hobo large on ebay from someone that said they bought it from the gucci store in LA where her aunt works and she got her discount. she had it for a year and only carried it a few times. It is beautiful, the leather is real and from what i have learned on this site the GG logo is authentic. what i can't figure out is if the leather tab on the inside pocket should have gucci stamped on it and should the gold hardware have gucci on it somewhere. I would send pics but my digital camera died, also, i am not very computer savvy. I still trying to figure out how to use this site. Ha Ha. Thanks so much from LA (Lower Arkansas)

I wanted to make sure this is real, since I've never seen a Jackie O with a silver chain strap. Thanks for your help.

hey this is my first post. =o)
just wanted to warn you guys about ebay and such. some sellers are saying guaranteed authentic. if its not then just get a manager to write a note and send it back for a full refund.
just one thing... GUCCI DOES NOT PRACTICE THIS! they do not write notes because they do not condone their clients going elsewhere to buy their products. they are even wary of telling you if it is "authentic" or "not authentic". rather they will say "this is not our product".
so if you see a seller with this written... FAKE FAKE FAKE!!!
i speak from personal experience. let my lesson be everyones. please~

guys i can not pass on a good deal. can anyone tell me if this is fake. i also asked the seller a question and this was his response:
Hi, all of my merchandise is guaranteed authentic. The labels are crossed out by the retailer to prevent illegal store returns. Some of the merchandise is customer returned and some items are damaged, or used for store display.

does that make sense? is this forreal? and does anyone know if the abbey lingotto has a cell phone pocket cause i thought gucci's didnt have one but i read that it depends on which warehouse it was made at?

eBay: Auth. Gucci Brown Monogram Abbey Lingotto handbag purse (item 250080351394 end time Feb-11-07 16:30:00 PST)

what do you guys think??

It would really be better if we could see a picture of it, but, yes, the inside tag should have some markings on it. If it is a newer Gucci, it should say GUCCI, then made in italy underneath as well as the back of the tag should have numbers. If it is a vintage Gucci, the verbage might be different.

I know this will probably seem like a dumb question. but how do you put the link of an item you are looking at on ebay when you wish to ask someones opinion on pf?
When you get to an auction page you want to inquire about, go to the address part at the top of your screen & highlight it, then right click and hit copy, then when you come here to post the message you can paste it, that should work. Good luck.

Yes, In general they will never give you anything written....and most of the time they will not say at all. However there are exceptions, (but rarely) if you have a really good relationship with a particular SA that you've worked with for a long time sometimes they will verbally tell you. But in general, most of the time they will not.
