I have seen the bag in this pattern, but the stripes were a different color. I am pretty sure it came in this color also though. The bag looks ok so far. I would ask for picture of bottom of bag along with the serial number.

In my opinion, $600 is too much for the bag. I have seen it sell for much less. It is a variation of the jackie o style. It is several years old, not sure the exact year, but I will see if I can find out.

Well you could verify the style # if you knew what it was on this bag. But is better to see a pic of the front and back of the tag as Gucci uses a specific style font on the front & back...usually the font on the back of the tag is off if it is fake, although some of the better fakes can be very close, making it hard to tell.

The style number is correct for this bag but most of the fakes now have valid numbers.

ew. thanks guys! i guess i am not buying that bag its so hard to tell! from the pics it looks pretty nice...

anyway, can i ask if you can point me in the direction of what other on line stores sell authentic bags? i have looked & searched everywhere but now after reading so many of the posts on here, i'm scared! :)
(i tried to search for stores on here but the search function didn't recognize any thing)

Hello, I received this Gucci Abbey today from Ebay but I don't know what to think. The dust bag looks real when I compared it to the pics on another thread. But I am concerned about the bag and the interior zipper pull does not have Gucci stamped on it. I've taken many more photos if needed. Please tell me if it is real or fake. Sorry, I can't figure out how to make these pics smaller.

I thought I saw someone post about the tag font. The letter a shouldn't be like the letter like this 'a', it should be like the a without the hook at the top, like this 'a'. I checked my Gucci bags, all purchased from the Gucci boutique or saks.. All my Gucci tags have made in Italy in this type of font. I'm not sure how much of an indicator this is of authentic bags or not. I saw someone post about it and it seems to be true.. As always, this is just my opinion. Maybe someone else with this bag can help out.
