hi mssmelanie, seems like you are a gucci expert, can you please help me? Or anyone else who knows Gucci bags? I think I got a fake bag! I bought this from a local consignment store, but when I tried to find out what style and look on the gucci website, this is most similiar to pelham, but it only comes medium like 15 inches wide or large, which is bigger, my bag is only 9 inches wide! do I have a fake? please please help! The inside tag reads 144157 002122

I haven't seen this style before, but it could be a few years back??? Can u get a closer shot of the canvas Gs...you can change your camera setting to macro to be able to get a closeup.:yes:

Thank you mos, here's a picture of the canvas and tag, I really appreciate your help! This looks almost exactly like the pelham except it's much smaller, 9 inches across, 8 inches tall.

I am not really an expert. I just happened to be slow at work the last fewand was able to look at this thread:graucho:. And if all I know is that if you see the Black Gucci card, that's it's a fake.

Anyway, I'm not sure about this style. I think I've seen something like this but I can't be sure. I don't know if it's fake or real :confused1:

The closest I have seen to this is

Can anyone tell me if this is a real Gucci? What "kind" of Gucci, and how much it would be worth? In my intro thread, I explained I would like to list it on ebay, but I know nothing about purses and want to make sure it is real before I posted it.

IMO this looks like authentic vintage Gucci, probably around the 80's, would be good to see a pic of the inside tag just to be sure. As far as what it is worth, kinda depends....the large G vintage accessory collection seems to be the vintage gucci getting the higher prices, esp the "doctor" style bag.

Bag 1: I'm pretty sure it's fake. The leather tag on the inside doesn't look right and neither does the G's on the canvas.

Bag 2: Something about the shape of the bag doesnt look right. I wasn't able to enlarge the pix, so I couldn't look at the tag more closely. And isn't $400 a little too inexpensive for a brand new pelham?

I don't know about these but the prices are just too low IMHO. I paid 1190 for the Small Pelham bag and I know the price has gone up since then. I think the Medium is almost $1500 brand new.. It sounds too good to be true.
