lovekoobabags - I think I might be inclined to beware of that seller. I looked up Gucci 130736 on ebay and found a listing in NY using the same pictures, then looked up closed auctions and 2 of the exact same from the seller using the same pics have sold recently. There hasn't been any feedback left for the seller yet so who knows, but I think it would be enough for me to be wary. Good luck to you!

lb4ever714 - at first I thought "fake" because the font on the Gucci made in Italy tag looked like it was off (spaced too far apart), but upon further inspection, it could be that just because it's a white tag it's harder to see that the exact lettering. I would ask for closer pictures of the GUCCI engraving on the studs....the seller does have good feedback and has a good history of selling a few authentic handbags such as LV, Dooney and Bourke, and Coach. She's sold a Fendi too, but I pretty much no nothing about Fendi so I can't comment. Good luck, I hope it's authentic, it's a great bag!

The last photo, it's hard to tell what the tag says and hard to tell on the lining. Lining is usually a soft/suedish type lining in bags from this collection, usually they are flaking or peeling in spots. The leather looks right on the trim. Maybe someone else can offer a 2nd opinion, but from the photos provided, to me it looks good.

Hi krippy. Thanks so much for your response! The bag is exactly as you described it. It does say "Gucci Accessory Collection" on the tag and the lining is a light beige suedish material that is peeling in certain areas. Hopefully someone else can agree that it looks good!!! Thanks again :yes:

Can someone help me authenticate this Gucci shopper? My mom got it for me from Christmas - she bought it from a friend who supposedly got it from Saks. I have my doubts - mostly because the Gucci tag is upside down! Otherwise it looks good, but is it possible that they just sewed the tag in upside down?

Infact alot of times this tag is so worn that it has come out of the bag & if it hasnt come out it is quite worn, this one looks brand new. I suppose it is possible, but IMO this bag looks as if you could walk into a store and purchase it brand new it does not have any wear at all for a 20+ year old bag. Maybe someone else who is also familiar with vintage can offer opinion. Not sure if this helps.

wow krippy! how do you know so much about gucci? i found this one on jill's consignment.. i think i paid a good price for it too (IMO...) Thank you for your advice once again. i just looove vintage gucci, it's too bad i dont know how to authenticate them myself.

You're too kind. I'm not as familiar with the new Gucci styles, but the vintage accessory collection (from the 80's) is the collection I'm more familiar with. I love vintage Gucci myself. This happens to be the collection that was out and very instyle when I was in high school (Aging myself), :wlae: . I remember begging my mom for my first Gucci which was the doctor style bag from this collection.:smile1:
