You make a very good point about the upside down zucchino fabric, I did not catch that. As I said initially, very hard to authenticate these older wallets, unless they have hologram tag like the newer ones. I wonder if it is intended to be right side up on the other side?
If you aren't happy with it, send it back. I have a 2001 zucca FENDI wallet and it is very well made. I have also seen some zucchino FENDI pieces that were not as nice, but proved authentic...go figure!
On the code on the auth card - the only part that would match your wallet serial # is the Style code (8m0032) - the rest does not match on any FENDI item generally speaking. They sell the wallets sometimes with the auth sticker on the box, but usually it will have an Authenticity card as well. I don't like the format of the sticker, but just can't give opinion on it.
On the leather trim, FENDI has so many different styles & formats, that lack of the trim does not mean it is not real. It may just mean it is a different version they came out with. Many wallets have the 8M0032 style code, just like many spy bags have the 8BR511 code...
A few things that are characteristic of auth FENDI on the wallet: the ID plastic see thru piece is satin & not clear/shiny, the snaps & screws look good, the leather looks consistent, the lining is the correct color & sheen, the fonts on the serial # code are consistent. It still may be a replica, but it is difficult to tell on these...
Hi everyone! A few months ago, I saw a Fendi clutch (on ebay...dun dun dunnnn) that I absolutely fell in love with. The listing stated it was authentic, but since I really couldn't tell either way, I took the seller up on their "OBO" option and put in a lowball offer. To my surprise (and joy!), the seller accepted. Of course, now I really want to know if it is authentic. I know I should have asked for more pics up front, but I was so hooked the minute I saw it all I could think about was owning it. And I figured I wasn't spending so much that I would feel destroyed if it was, in fact, fake.
Below are links to pics; I hope they are helpful. I'll be happy to take and post more; just let me know what you need. You'll notice I have pictures of a tag the seller included - FYI, it was not attached to the bag, just tucked inside the inner pocket.

Hi ladies - can you please take a look at this one? the seller is going to post pics of the serial tag and hologram, but maybe initial thoughts??
oh - and she didn't set the right year on the camera - pics aren't from 2006.
thanks!

Depending on the season and style, serial #s come in a number of different formats. This bag looks authentic IMO. It is best just to submit a listing to us, as fake bags have often identical serial #s to those that are real.Yoogi's Closet![]()
So I've heard really great reviews about this site and decided to check it out. I found some really great Fendi's and came across this one. Am I crazy, Isn't this a knock-off???? I have never purchased a fendi but really want a nice one. I read where they said Fendi's only have numerical serial numbers. Some Fendi's on this site have letters and numbers. Can a Fendi bagxpert help?! Thanks!

3 months ago I bought a Peek-a-Boo Fendi bag on E-bay. I doubt about it's authenticity.
I have a lot of pictures, but I don't know how to send them with this message.
Can anybody please reply to my e-mail so I can send you the pictures?
My e-mail is : [email protected]
Thank you.
@Accio - Can you read my above post and let me know what you think. That yellow tag scares me...
thanks!
