Hey guys.... I'm in a difficult situation right now. I purchased the Fendi Spy in Black after getting it authenticated here. Item number: 380116482134 from ebay. I received it today, and am disappointed because the seller did not state in the auction that the clasp was missing the Fendi mirror bevelled gem. I also then noticed that on the front handle, left side, it is missing the lower 3 leather bumps (only 4 vertical bumps). This has me extremely worried. I thought it was authentic, but now am not so sure. The worst is that I filed a SNAD claim with Paypal based on it being damaged and the damage not disclosed in the auction (and didn't even think about authenticity issues until now). The leather and bubbling looks good, as does the hologram and serial tags and the lining lines up perpendicularly, the screws look good. I'm just so confused right now. Can anyone help me out? Took pictures of it here

Here's my other thread in PF, about how I'm trying to get a refund on this bag. I'm really worried as toolhaus shows that the seller has previously with-held refunds from other buyers who have returned their items, which is why I went with a SNAD through Paypal to try and establish communication...

1. It is authentic spy from 2005 season.
2. Not sure what you mean about broken clasp, but the "spyglass" thingey on the end of the spy wand can be sometimes glued back on. But i agree it should have been disclosed.
3. Did you ask seller about returning it for a refund? Usually the seller will comply, but if they don't Paypal will nip them in the U-know-what!;)

1. Thank you, I wasn't so sure myself as the leather feels different than that of my gold and brown spies (much thicker, slightly rubbery) and the bubbling on one part looks too exaggerated. Also, the inside metal plate looks different up close than those of my other spies
2. It's totally missing the "spyglass". If I had the piece, I could still glue it back on, but it didn't even come with the missing piece, and wasn't disclosed. Also, I'm worried that on the front handle, the bottom of the handle is Bare (no bumps across the bottom, only 4 vertical bumps) whereas on my other spies (gold shown as comparison) there are 3 horizontal bumps at the bottom of the 4 vertical bumps (sorry if sounds confusing.... I'm just not sure why the black spy is missing this on its handle compared to other two) This wasn't mentioned either

3. I've contacted the seller several times via ebay messaging, no response, and yesterday filed a Paypal dispute (not escalated to claim yet) and no response either. I'm hoping for a refund, because I feel duped that these things weren't disclosed...


I'm just curious about the missing "tri" bumps on the bottom of the handle and the shoddy glue marks on the wand clasp
