Sorry if this is repeated. Just tried to post and don't think it worked. Wondering if anyone has heard anything about the bags purchased at duty free shops, specifically ones in Asia? Are they different then what you would find in stores? I also heard that some of the bags that come as "gift sets" (bag with wallet or scarf) and don't have serial numbers or holograms. Thanks in advance for anyone's input!!

I have never heard of that....even if they are part of a gift set, they had to have been made from a Fendi factory that would have issued each piece with the appropriate markers for authenticity. You would have to post clear, close up pics of the piece in questions for us to have a look at...

Need to see clear close up pics of the hologram and leather serial strip for both the bag and wallet to confirm.
This is what the seller wrote regarding the hologram and serial strip. I had asked about those too...

"This brand new authentic Fendi tote and wallet were purchased as a gift set for my wife in 1998 at the DFS Galleria in the Hong Kong airport. Hard to believe but she is not a Fendi fan and has stored this beautiful bag and wallet in our smoke free, pet free, humidity controlled home for since the day she received it. In researching this combo set I discovered that the older Fendi bags don't have the hologram or even serial numbers. This set has neither however the authenticity card for the set is in the wallet and shown in photos."

I am assuming these are fakes although they look like good ones. Thanks for your responses Accio.

There would be serial number embossed in the lining of the zippered pocket of the bag and the wallet's serial number is imprinted in the largest billfold slot of the wallet. It's there if these are authentic, the seller just doesn't know where to look. Even fakes have them, that is why we need to see them first. If he insists they don't have them, I would just stay away...

Hello! This is my first time using this forum so I hope I do this right. I would appreciate any help authenticating this Fendi bag, recently purchased off eBay. The link includes photos, however I can take additional pictures if need be. I have Fendi bags that I purchased directly from the store, which I compared this to. What threw me off was that there is no lining in this bag and the stamped serial number seemed strange to me. Thanks so much for your help!
