Authenticate This DKNY

Hey Barbie! I have a DKNY bag that's somewhat similar to yours (it's a square, crossbody type, but has the same pattern and interior details), and after comparing mine to the pictures, yours looks legit. The logos are exactly the same as mine, the dustbag is identical, the zipper pulls and hardware look about the same, and it also has a little "Made in Indonesia" tag inside it.

By the way, is it just me are the linings in the these bags kind of weird? Mine's some kind of stiff beige cotton stuff...it's almost like muslin or something. The rest of the bag is very well made, though.

Hi everyone!
I'm new to this forum and already need help!

I managed to find a beautiful DKNY bag in an estate sale and now I'd like to sell it on.

However, I'm not sure how old this is. Someone told me this is nearing vintage but I really don't know.

Can anyone share their wisdom and let me know how old they think it is?
It is a lovely lpale lime green/bordering on Yellow and has 'CITY DKNY' kinda ingraved on the front (at the bottom). It's approx 10" wide and 11" high and 3" deep.

I'm not an expert on these bags, But I'm pretty sure the last one is fake. I don't see DKNY selling a purse with the paking material still on it. And the tag inside the bag is a major give off. Since they're all from the same store, I'd stay away from them.

ps- I have found DKNY bags similar to that at marshalls/ TJ maxx for about $40

Hiya there,

I have two bags from the 'town and country range' that are about three years old now but to be honest I've never actually seen model names for the DKNY bags. Normally it's the range name and a description.

For example

'Scarf Bag Town and Country large nylon tote bag'
'Turnlock Town and Country nylon flapover bag'

I don't recall either of my bags having model names on the receipts or tags and I haven't been able to locate the model names on the new ones either. *Although I am in the UK so it may be different*

I've never really seen model names on DKNY bags either. When I bought my first one, it was simply called the "antique calf east-west tote". I then bought an "antique calf small hobo".

Hey!

Recently I purchased this DKNY small bag but now am having 2nd thoughts after going through all the pages on the forum (Didn't realise so many fakes were out there!) I've attached the pix. Please view them!

1. On the tag inside it says 'Made in Indonesia'? Though the quality of the bag and stitching looks very good to me!
2. The zippers have YKK printed on them.I couldn't take a clear picture of them.
