Hello Nat and Elc41,

Unfortunately, the first one is also fake. The two strips that run down the front of the bag should look like the following pics. The first "Dior" word should almost touch the white patent handle piece and the second "Dior" word wraps around the edge of the bag. Sorry! :flowers: By looking at the pics, I think the "Dior" words are not placed correctly upon the stripes. best wishes, Becky

p.s. Also! Upon the front of the Dior Girly Boston bag there are three flowers in the right bottom corner and one bow in the left top corner. The corresponding bag has no bow and only one flower. Just a little note.

Not saying it is authentic or fake but you can see from the pic that there are holes where the other flowers were, they have come off :wtf:

Also refer to pic from Dior's own girly campaign ad - I would be interested to know why theirs don't touch anywhere near the handle.

Great question Chic! I have never noticed the stripes and placing of the words "Dior" within the ad....I have no idea why the bag within the ad is so different. I know the following pic below is from Dior/Eluxury/etc...hmmmm...I am terribly sorry if my postings came off at all wrong. My meds and treatments have made me so grumpy lately...so sorry! best wishes. :flowers::flowers::flowers:

Thanks to all you wonderful ladies who educated me on this - I am sorry I haven't posted sooner but I've been away for a few days.

It is so wonderful to find a community of interest on tPF and fabulous, knowledgeable people who help each other and avoid folks from being ripped off by the counterfeiters who are growing in number and ability daily! Thanks to all!!!!!!!!:tup::tup:

Jo

p.s.

To date, I have never seen an authentic Dior Samouri bag on eBay...sorry! I check the eBay listings worldwide daily. This bag is pretty new, maybe give it a little bit of time and if you ever see another Samouri or any other Dior bag...feel free to post here! Welcome to the wonderful world of Dior....now when I get ready to buy a Hermes bag, helllllllp. :yahoo:

No you don't come off as wrong at all :smile1:

I would like to know whether this is fact as the dior ad campaign bag has me confused, the dior girly according to the ad has a different placement of Dior which makes me wonder whether the Dior placement on the strip rule is fact or fiction :shrugs:, maybe it deserves more research ;)

I won this auction, paid for it. But now I'm having second thoughts whether or not its authentic. I asked the seller for the serial number and she said its yb746022135 - Dior Made in Italy. But I searched for it online and I can't find any thing that matches that. On top of that, I was searching on eBay and all the serial numbers are different.

This is the only pic she has.

The seller has 40+ feedback of 97.6% (-1 fb for not paying)
She has sold other designer items and the customer said its authentic (LV)

unfortunately its very hard to authenticate frames, the logo on the glasses case ( i presume thats what it is ) looks ok. usually what helps decide if theyre authentic is what it says on the inside of the arms. without those pics its impossible to say really.

Hello iMargaret,

I did some research...I can't really see the side of the eyeglasses, so I wasn't truly sure which pair of Dior eyeglasses these are. I did find this website...click here, which has quite a few pairs that look similar. You may want to telephone some eyeglass boutiques that sell Dior eyeglasses and give them the number corresponding with the eyeglasses...see if they can confirm anything; such as the name Dior called the eyeglasses or the Dior collection they came from...if you do receive this information it may be easier to do an online search. In addition, you may wish to telephone Dior directly and do the same. I hope this helps and wish you all the best. happy holidays, Becky:love:
