Sometimes there are articles off to the side on ebay that tell you how to spot fakes, etc. I once read one on Dior Gaucho bags that you are referring to. It mainly pointed out differences in the dangling coin and key (the man's face is different in each). Also it said that the dust bag should only read DIOR. I will try and find the link. I'm sure there is still a section on e-bay that can help you out. :) It is SO hard to tell the difference through pictures sometimes. Good luck!

I do have to challenge one of the points mentioned in the guide...the links are made of aged lambskin (with a black wax finish on those that were part of the spring 06 collection) and are not always at 90 degree angles to each other, nor are there always no spaces in between. I have a Dior boutique catalogue with very closeup pictures to confirm this. You should be able to see a cord or rope of some sort behind the links too!
