Item: Western Embroidery Rogue

Listing #: 362200778705

Seller: aperfectool

Link: https://m.ebay.com/itm/NWT-Coach-19...oral-Embroidery-Black-57230-995-/362200778705

I've bought a fake one from eBay before so I'm cautious but also have learned what to look for. I do question about the price tag as it doesn't look like the usual single price tag but a tag placed on an oversize tag. And the abbreviation for Western looks to be WTM...instead of WTN? It's been awhile since I've seen one in the store to remember how It should be labeled/abbreviated.
There are a few pictures that are needed.
1. Straight on picture of full creed
2. Picture of the made in tag (straight on)
3. Straight on picture of hang tag with HAC logo

There aren't that many embroidered Rogues so I can't find whether others of THAT style and from Turkey have WTM.

I did see some tags from other styles and some have WTN while others have WSTN so it's important to compare apples to apples.

There are 2 other considerations to keep in mind (although with this listing that doesn't apply) is that tags don't prove authenticity of the bag they're on. And secondly, if a bag goes to the outlet or if they replace a tag at store level, the font and look of the tag can differ from the one that was from the factory.

Exactly. The correct format for serial numbers from 1994 to around 2005 (after 2005 things get even more complicated) should be LETTER (month code) - NUMBER (year code, 1 or 2 numbers) - LETTER or rarely a NUMBER depending on the plant (plant code). The B plant in 1996 would have a serial prefix in the format Letter-Number-Letter IF it was set correctly, but we've seen other plants made similar mistakes during that transition period, especially several non-USA plants. None of us have seen this exact kind of formatting mistake before.

Creeds and serial numbers are covered in two of the Salearea Coach Guides.

Yes I hadn't noticed it when I got it till I read more on the guides you mentioned. The bag seemed correct and since there had been mistakes by plants before I thought that might be it. I did re-size more pics. I hope this works.View attachment 3926106[/QUOTE]
I'll wait for the rest of the resized photos, but the font used for the serial number matches what I have on file for 1996 and also for several years after.

Here's an example:
