  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

The pictures aren't adequate for authentication purposes.

See post #1 for the required pictures needed, particularly the part in boldface where it tells what additional pictures are needed for newer bags with creeds sans serial numbers.

Hi, BeenBurned. I contacted the seller for more pictures of the tags/labels located in the inside of the bag. She said that there is none since the bag is small. Therefore, I'm not going to bid on this item. Thank you for your help.

This bag doesn't appear to be a pouch-size or smaller item that wouldn't have a serial number.

But if ninamarie33 is unwilling to look for the made in and production tags rather than just making the assumption that there's nothing there, I think you're smart to avoid the listing and the seller.

It's very frustrating because as volunteer authenticators, we freely offer our time and knowledge to help buyers (and sellers!) to avoid scams. Buyers don't want to purchase fakes but we also help sellers who might be falsely accused of selling a fake. Yet when we (or buyers) request and require information from sellers in order to verify authenticity, it's not helpful to us (or to the sellers themselves) when sellers aren't willing to respond or make an effort to help us help them!

In fact, in this case, ninamarie33 isn't only seller whose listing for a Rhyder style 33684 doesn't have adequate pictures necessary for authentication purposes. I did a quick search and found NO current listings and just 2 sellers with completed listings that showed the tag(s) needed to authenticate the bag.

Note that the newer styles of bags including Swagger, Rhyder, Rogue and others are VERY well-faked and without good pictures in a listing, I recommend buyers not purchase online! Well-faked styles are more difficult and more time-consuming to authenticate and for sellers neglect to do what they can to help us help them, I won't waste my time.

I've attached a picture of the tag we need to see for authenticating these bags. Perhaps you'll enlighten ninamarie33!

Wow, thank you for the wealth of information, BeenBurned! I'll definitely keep that in my mind when shopping for rhyder or rogue bags. The time that all of the Coach authenticators spent are greatly appreciated!!! Because of all of your volunteer work, I have acquired a pretty nice collection of black classic and modern Coach bags with silver hardware that have been admired by my friends and coworkers. I especially love the older bags I have for its quality and endurance and know that I will enjoy them for many years.

The H looks off in the creed? Thank you!

That's actually how the H plant code is supposed to look for that time period. It looks good to me but you can wait for Whateve or BeenBurned if you're more comfortable with a second opinion.
Ditto.

ETA: Here's an example of a FAKE H plant creed. (I wasn't able to find a fake *6H)

Hello. I sold this Coach bag on Poshmark and the buyer is now claiming it's a fake bag. I believe it's authentic but would like verification from someone that has a lot more knowledge just to verify.

I hope these pictures are good enough and uploaded properly.

Interesting! I saved the pic of the fake. The metal and leather zipper pulls weren't made by Coach either.

Wonder whose blog that was? There were 1 or 2 other bags that were iffy, maybe more, but on the whole it was an interesting collection.

I haven't had time to go through that blog.

Reading those types of blogs as well as many "authenticity" guides is too upsetting, serves to raise my blood pressure and not being one to sit on my hands when I see something like this, I post. (Awaiting moderation? The post will probably be deleted and the blogger will block me.)

Generally I've made a rule (to myself) not to authenticate Poshmark listings and not to recommend buyers OR sellers ti do business there but I'll make an exception to my own "rule." (Poshmark has a long history of allowing fakes, allowing scammers and not responding to reports when submitted. ANd in cases where items are questioned, their own "team" has called fakes as authentic and authentic items as fake.)

Does your buyer say why she thinks it's fake? The bag is absolutely authentic and is called Bleecker embossed small Cooper from 2013.

If you'd like, refer the buyer here to express her concerns.

We had a lot of authentication requests for "acoachcollection.wordpress.com" back in 2012 and 2013. Most of them looked ok but there was an iffy Lenox Bag here
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/authenticate-this-coach.763164/page-660#post-24558360
and also
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/authenticate-this-coach.763164/page-246#post-23242570
and maybe some others, I just don't feel like going through 6 pages of links. The seller seems to have left the site 3 years ago anyway. Maybe it's because of my old browser but I don't see any actual blog posts or any prices or other details, just photos and links.
