Greetings all. Once again testing my failing memory and eyesight. Please confirm or rebut my suspicions regarding this (fake) Stewardess...

Item: COACH Vintage Black Rare Legacy Leather Shoulder Bag Purse 9966 Made USA
Listing number: 222370767337
Seller: rflynn (1563)
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Vinta...houlder-Bag-Purse-9966-Made-USA-/222370767337

Comments: Two easy inconsistencies that I see: 1996 Z production code and "United States" (not DR) in creed, and identified with style #9966 (and not #9525, since it's obviously a Stewardess).

Thanks for either the confirmation or reasoned correction, whichever the learned case might be.

Yes fake, for those and other reasons.

For some reason, your links aren't working.
The first is http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUTH-Coach-...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
The second is http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Lime-...d-Condition-/122293141157?hash=item1c793d3ea5
Both are authentic.

Thanks. I did not copy the links correctly, I see now. And not sure I redid them correctly, a bit of a computer rube. Thanks for looking them up anyway.

Just a correction, the second bag is NOT a Waverly. That style is constantly misidentified on Ebay, the 4157 is smaller, only 9 inches long rather than 12 inches like the actual Waverly, has longer straps and is a Soho Buckle Bag. At least a fourth of the "Waverlys" on Ebay are mis-named. Like we keep reminding everyone, DON'T expect sellers to know the correct name, age, or other details about the items they sell.

Also, i am from Australia and my friend is in Dubai working but her supplier is based in the Philippines.
Bingo!! Exactly as I suspected. So not only should Filippino buyers be extremely careful but other buyers purchasing from "suppliers" have to use extreme caution.

May I ask whether you know if this friend of a friend sells her bags online? Does she use Ebay or any other online venues?

Thank you for your expertise and the lovely brochure photos!

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply again...i am not sureas she only sends me photos whenever we chat. But i remembered her saying that her main supplier bought some bags on ebay and also bought at the store. Not much information about that though
Im sorry...

Hello, I sold a coach Crossbody for mys sister a last month. The buyer is claiming it is fake. My sister bought it directly from Coach so I know that it isn't fake. I'm just looking for validation of that. Thank you.

It is a Coach F51216 Peyton Dream C Black & White SwingBack Crossbody made of canvas.

Here is a link to the original listing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/122185312299?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1561.l2649

The buyer believes it to be "fake" because there is no creed stamp and she also thinks the patent leather straps are made of "very cheap stuff." I explained to her that not all crossbody's and wristlets Coaches have Creed tags on the inside as Coach considers them accessories. She has yet to respond.

Thank You

All The Best
