Don't get involved telling sellers they are selling FAKES or non vintage bags or bags designed by Bonnie that were made in China in 2014..it will cause you grief 99% of the time...
Trust me on this..if nothing else!!:pokey:
I agree with this.

There's no way to know a buyer's ID so you can't contact screwed buyers but even in the days when you could do that, it wasn't a good idea for a couple of reasons.

Sometimes the winner is a shill who "accidently" won the item. Other times, the buyer is independent but contacts the seller, reports your "tattle tale" ID and the seller can report you for auction interference.

Auction interference is a suspendable offense and ebay DOES suspend users who do it. They make it clear that their messaging system is not to be used for purposes for notification purposes and that's what the "report" button is for.

Don't do it!

Thank you Hyacinth. I'm amazed there are so many fake bags on ebay. I was going to report this one but looks like someone beat me to it. I'm finding fake bags on ebay auctions too and when I try to let them know I'm pointed as being a very bad person. Not much I can do if they don't seem to care. I at least let the winning bidder know she just won a fake Coach bag. :(
You could spend your entire life doing that and will get no gratitude. Use the reporting process and post in the Hall of Shame. It's more effective and will bring you no grief.

The only time I advise a seller they have a fake is if I have asked for additional information or detail such as a photo of the creed. I will then politely say something like I'm sorry but that is on the fakes list, or I've found out that it is fake.

I'm wondering if the seller should be able to claim this is a Coach. Maybe the reason the pocket with the creed was removed was because it is a fake. The zipper looks like it is too short for the opening.

I believe that the listing is disallowed as it stands. The pocket has been removed and there's no hangtag nor markings with Coach's name so the bag cannot be proven to be genuine Coach nor should it be described as such.

I'm with you on the reason for the pocket removal. I'm guessing it had an invalid serial number.

If she listed as a generic leather bag without any mention of Coach, that would have been legal.

The OPs can't delete their own posts.

If it's within the time limit for editing, just replace the text with "nm" (for "never mind") or a dot. If it 's too late to edit, then it has to be deleted by asking one of the Mods. Unless it's stating misleading or incorrect information or violates one of the forum rules, don't worry about it too much.

O.k. NM it is. Thank you.

Thanks. Would you report it as counterfeit or as something else like keyword spamming?

How would you know who the winning bidder is on a ebay auction? Aren't the user IDs in code? Be very careful, you can be accused of harassment if you try to tell sellers they are selling fakes. There are very few sellers I'll give a heads up to; all the rest I'll just report.

The winning bidder was on facebook. Someone collection donations and doing auctions on facebook. Since I'm not a friend they probably won't even see my private message. They will find out soon enough when they show off their new Coach bag that it's fake.

Adding a photo of the bag that was sold/auctioned on facebook.

The correct report would probably be KWS. This seems to be a gray area.

Please authenticate. Thanks. Interior pocket zipper has blue fabric and doesn't look like brass. Not that I really know anything about Coach!

It was common for Coach to use blue or black zippers in their bags before the mid 90s to late 90s. I think the color of the zipper fabric (it is probably darker) and the metal isn't accurately portrayed in the photo. I don't see any problems with the bag.

Yup, it's fake and you got lucky as far as being able to find the buyer.
