Never mind! Lost the auction. Oh well. Another day, another bag.

How does one delete a post? Can't seem to find a way to do that.

The OPs can't delete their own posts.

If it's within the time limit for editing, just replace the text with "nm" (for "never mind") or a dot. If it 's too late to edit, then it has to be deleted by asking one of the Mods. Unless it's stating misleading or incorrect information or violates one of the forum rules, don't worry about it too much.

Possible Foach? In my possession, from a thrift, grabbed as a parts bag - the creed/ serial look off to me?
But I've been wrong before, so figured I better check with the experts before I disembowel it
:-)

It's definitely fake, sorry. That "K3H-" serial prefix has been determined to be almost always if not always fake especially when it's in that extra-thick font, the proportions of the inside organizer pocket are wrong and the pen pockets are a bit too wide, the leather zipper pull for the top zipper isn't right, the serial font is completely wrong for any bag from the H plant (which apparently had already been closed for several years), and a bag supposedly made in the US in 2003 would never have buckles stamped "solid brass" - with the possible exception of the Costa Rica plant in its last year of production those stamped solid brass buckles had been discontinued by the very early 1990s and replaced by brass-coated mystery metal of some kind.

The "YKK" zippers on their own may be genuine YKK but that's about it. (The one on the top is also just a bit too short).

Thanks so much! I was pretty sure it was a fake - love all the info on the errors, great education! I needed 2 buckles, so it'll get chopped up for hardware & scrap leather. (do you suppose buckles marked 'solid brass' on a fake bag are actually solid brass?! hee.)

VERY fake - where's the rest of the serial number??? And the strap clip is totally wrong for ANY Coach bag.

Thank you Hyacinth. I'm amazed there are so many fake bags on ebay. I was going to report this one but looks like someone beat me to it. I'm finding fake bags on ebay auctions too and when I try to let them know I'm pointed as being a very bad person. Not much I can do if they don't seem to care. I at least let the winning bidder know she just won a fake Coach bag. :(

How would you know who the winning bidder is on a ebay auction? Aren't the user IDs in code? Be very careful, you can be accused of harassment if you try to tell sellers they are selling fakes. There are very few sellers I'll give a heads up to; all the rest I'll just report.

The zipper might be valuable too. At a leather repair shop I was told that a replacement brass zipper would cost $145, and that didn't include the labor to install it.

Don't get involved telling sellers they are selling FAKES or non vintage bags or bags designed by Bonnie that were made in China in 2014..it will cause you grief 99% of the time...
Trust me on this..if nothing else!!:pokey:
