I have one of these, they are awesome bags. mine is navy. Good luck!
I can't authenticate so let the others chime in with that.
Thanks for your input! I can't believe how wonderful the leather feels on the vintage bags. I'm hooked!

It's a genuine Sutton Zip. Coach lists the measurements as 11x7 inches
thank you!!It is good but I myself would not spend the money on it. The water stain is significant, the loose seam and the skanky interior are a deal breaker for me. If you are confident you can rehab it and get that seam fixed you might be ok.

Comments: I'm pretty sure that this is fine but I just bought it and I want to make sure. My concern is that the spacing on the serial number is off a little and it seems crooked. could it be a very good fake and the seller can't tell? Thanks so much for any replies!
Thank you very muchSerial numbers on classic or vintage bags made before 2000 are almost NEVER spaced OR lined up evenly. I'm more suspicious of older bags that have perfectly aligned numbers than I am of those that don't. The City Bag is genuine.
Well, that was fast! Got it! Made a low (?) offer, and was accepted!
Could someone please authenticate this Coach Leatherware bag?
I don't often shop on ebay...but when I find something this special, well I'm in!
Approx. 8.5"w x 5"h x 1.5"d. Strap drops 18.25" to eyelets.
Is this a late 60's - early 70's predecessor to a Dinky Bag?
I'm guessing the date based on info from our own Tetondeb's ebay guide...thanks, Deb!
Interesting that the front panel under the flap is a textured leather...has BEAD CHAIN stamped on the chain, chain is faceted beads and it has anchors on the dogleash clips...an oldie, but a goodie! A few smudges and ink spots, but remarkable for her age
Is it #9375, or was there a different style number?
Any and all info is much appreciated...thanks in advance!
It looks fine to me. Wait for more details from someone more familiar with the vintage styles than I am, like Whateve.

It's authentic. It would be from the mid 70s since it has a creed. Great find! I don't think it was intentional to make the front panel have a different kind of leather. They tried to use the nicest pieces of leather on the parts that would be seen most. I'm pretty sure the style number would be the same. I've never seen a catalog from the early 70s and the few ads I've seen don't have style numbers on them. They might not have been assigning style numbers back then. Thanks Hyacinth...I always appreciate your time...and your opinion! Standing by for whateve![]()
