What style number is the bag at Macy's? If it isn't the same style number, then you can't compare it. The bag I see on Macys.com is style #29002. The bag in the listing is #23576. The creed picture provided in the listing is fine. I don't see any problems with the bag. It was made for FP stores in January 2013. The bag currently at Macy's is a later style.

Can anyone authenticate this? I bought it from a neighbor for $10, she bought it on eBay. She thought it was fake which is why she sold it to me for next to nothing.

The reason she thought it was fake was the lack of ykk marking on the zipper (but it actually DOES have ykk marks) and that the zipper that hangs on the inside of the bag. I found a ton just like it on ebay and I told her that I thought it was real and she should keep it or try to sell it for more but she wouldn't be convinced. Thoughts?

Thanks. You have better vision than me because I couldn't read the style number. Always learn something from you every time. Perhaps my sister will be receiving a this as a Christmas gift. If I don't have to pay more than sis is worth for the bag! :p

You're welcome! I have horrible vision but I'm viewing it on my desktop and the magnify function worked fine. You can see several of the same style in the Saffiano clubhouse. I think the color is probably robin.

I believe it is authentic.

You need to tell your neighbor that the brand of zipper used means nothing. Coach has used many brands over the years, and counterfeiters can buy YKK zippers if they really want to fool people. It is far more important to check other details, like the design, the creed, the label, the construction, the stitching and the quality of the materials. I agree that the zipper hanging on the inside of the bag looks bad, but that is how Coach has been making them in the last few years. Counterfeits often have the end sticking out of the bag rather than tacked down like in this bag.

I am too lazy to use my laptop or desktop. I guess a screen larger than 7 x 11 might be in order in the future! Saffiano clubhouse!? See, now I have learned something else from you, again!

I did tell her about the zipper. I really did everything I could to convince her that it was real but she was so sure it was fake (from the 15 minutes of Googling she did) that it made me start to doubt myself. Thank you. :)

Normally I am very good at authenticating in person, and I owe it all to you, Hyacinth, and your excellent guides. So thank you for that too!
