Thank You Hyacinth:

I appreciate the detail and speed that you replied to my three posts, I'm glad that two of them are diffidently authentic, and the third could be. I normally do not purchase
hand bags at estate sales, but I am glad I did this time because I have learned so much
from reading this forum.

I appreciate the photos of the official USOC bag. I am amazed at how many different
styles, sizes and shapes of bags that Coach made, and how many fakes have been made also.

Thanks Again
-Steve

The messenger brief like the Olympic Style is extremely light. The Olympic ones are a very hard sell. If you list it for sale make sure you stress that this bag is extremely lightweight and not typical of Coach leather briefcases.

Thank You Noshoepolish, I appreciate the additional information. If I list it on eBay I will mention that it is lightweight with leather not as thick as the typical Coach briefcases. I weighed it and it came in at just under 2 pounds.

Thanks Again and have a great Sunday

It looks fine. I'm not sure how old it is but the pockets are crimped rather than sewn, which I think might help date it. I think the older wallets were sewn. I'd like to see your rehabbing results.

Thanks Whateve, I've only done maybe 6 to 7 rehabs and I love how they look so much better. It truly is amazing how quality that old coach leather is. Have a good Columbus day weekend. :)

Greetings everyone and happy Handbag Day/Columbus Day Weekend! While I am waiting to see if fabric dye works on this streaky bag I thought I'd ask for your thumbs up on my recent finds.

both look fine.

And here are two others, one from a consignment shop and the other from eBay but I was so busy I didn't have time to post here

Item: Two-handled satchel with unique number 1922-329
Size: 11" long x 7.5" tall x 5" deep.
Comments: I'd love to know the name and corresponding style number. Also it did not have a shoulder strap. Can you tell me the type of strap it would have come with? I have a couple of straps from really worn out bags that I could use as a replacement, both with the same lobster claw (?) clips but one has a buckle and one doesn't. From other similar bags I've seen it seems a thinner no buckle strap is appropriate?

Item: Original vintage 100% Leather coach Shoulder bag, Made in USA...
(Maybe a Classic Pouch?)
ebay listing number: 321526212093
size: 10" long x 8" tall x 4" deep. 37" strap that is wider at the center and tapers at the buckles.
Comments: I am attaching my own images as I have already received the bag.

Both are genuine, and you have the names right. The City Bag is from the early 1990s

Both are genuine, the top one is a Baxter Bag style 9903 from 1992-93. Coach just describes the strap as 48 inches and detachable with dogleash clips.

The second looks like a 9170 Classic Pouch if it's from the 1970s, Classic Shoulder Bag if it's from the early '80s.
