Comments: Caught the rehab bug from reading that thread. Thought this one would easy for a beginner.

It's authentic but I'm not sure that the ink will come out of the lining. (I don't rehab so others can advise.)
I've had good luck getting ink out of lining, more so if the lining lifts completely out of the bag. The grime around the edge will be harder to get rid of. I'm not sure how easy it will be to rehab the exterior leather. It isn't as thick as vintage leather. What I've found though is that most people don't even try to clean them, like they don't know they can. I've had stains wipe right off.

Thanks. The grime on the leather has me a bit worried too. No guts, no glory! If I get the bag, will put it up on the rehab thread. And I never knew a leather bag could be cleaned and fixed till I found this forum. Donated a $200 leather bag (not Coach) purchased on sale for $50.00 that was getting stiff and had a spot on the bottom. Wish I'd kept it. *sigh*

Don't I know it. I bought Coach bags in the early 80s and gave each one to Goodwill as soon as I got a new one. I can't even remember what styles I had.

How does this one look? The creed seems puffy and the stamping looks different from the comp with the same prefix.

Thanks.

I'm surprised. I thought this was one of the sellers who knew something about authenticating. I don't believe it is authentic. The padding above the turnlock is too high and the wrong shape. The overstamping marks don't seem real - above the 9s there should be curves for the bottom of the 8 but they look like straight lines. It has a center seam on the bottom but none of the authentic bags do.

Thanks. The listing from plentyofpurses didn't look right to me but I wanted second (third, fourth, other) opinions too!

I recently acquired a couple of bags for rehab projects and thought I should have them checked out before putting in a ton of work!

I have 2 I hope someone can take a look at:
First, a small white NYC shoulder bag with a creed but no registration / serial number;

Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance ... :smile1:
