I can't read the creed well enough. Is it all numeric? It looks like it starts with "135." If it is all numeric in the format xxxx-xxx, it is probably fine. I'd feel better if I knew the complete number.

Is the set really that purple? I know they made it in navy; not sure about purple. Unusual colors are a warning flag on vintage styles.

I've had the same green mark on creeds before. It is verdigris but it doesn't mean that it is widespread. It is pretty common on bags where the creed is in a pocket behind a turnlock. I don't see any problems with what I can see of the multi-function purse (wallet).

Hmm ya she I saw it I thought the purple was weird! she said it is a jewel tone purple... And she said that it is really hard to make out maybe 1353 or 1358..... So the imprint is not a big deal? How old do you think it is? Thank you!!

It is probably from the early 90s. I am worried about the purple. I've seen a few bags made in purple at the same time but not this style. You should check the back of the turnlock to make sure it doesn't have indentations. The inside of the wallet should be black and should have a zipper pull that looks like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Vinta...T-/140957945764?pt=Wallet&hash=item20d1bf8fa4

Were the bags you saw in purple fake? Turnlock indentations would help to discover if this is fake or not.. Hmm this is a hard one! The wallet looks just like the one in the eBay listing...

I've seen some authentic purple bags in a few styles, one from 1993, and a few Soho styles from the mid 90s. The fact that both the bag and the wallet are the same purple, and the wallet appears authentic, leads me to believe the bag is probably authentic, as long as the back of the turnlock checks out.

Found another one! I'm almost positive it's a vintage dinky bag, possibly mid 70s to mid 80s? Based on the creed it seems like it's a similar timeline to my lovely stewardess. (Thankfully this one doesn't need much rehabbing--it's in almost perfect condition besides being squished.)
Item: Dinky bag? (in my possession)

Comment: Any additional info would be great :) It's missing the hang tag--is that something I can get at a coach store? (I realize it probably won't say "Coach Leatherware", but I figure it's better than nothing!)
Thanks in advance :smile1:

yes, it's a dinky, probably from the mid 80s. If you go to a Coach store, they have some hangtags from the Legacy line that look a lot like the two-sided hangtags from the 90s. They work well on vintage bags. My outlet had some one-sided hangtags with antiqued brass chains too. I think they are bigger than the original hangtags.
