Item: lot of 3 Vintage Coach Purses
Item no: 321509037424
Seller: blackbeauty729

Comment: I'm thinking two of these three are fake?

Correct, the tan "Canteen Bag" on the right has an invalid plant code, a fake zipper pull, stitching on both the outside and on the inside pocket that doesn't even match the leather and is REALLY sloppy, the tab holding the ring for the strap on one side is noticeably crooked at the top and the strap is also badly sewn.

The red one 9145 has an invalid plant code belonging only to Italy but the creed stamp says it's made in the US.

Comment: serial prefix J7R? And font looks too fat.

yes it's fake. The font is too fat, the zipper is too bright, the shape of the bag is wrong, it is too narrow on the bottom, the inside isn't finished right, the zipper pull is too big and isn't sewn across.
gaon_feli has relisted that red fake 9017 bag. I have it in my records from June 4 when it was previously removed. The previous title of her listing was "COACH VTG USA Red Legacy Leather Purse Bag Crossbody Flap Style Lipstick RED NR"

Here's a later post from June 21 when the seller had a fake:

Would someone look at this one, please? The creed isn't clear but the prefix is J8H and from what I see, the H doesn't look like it should:

I can't read the creed well enough to determine if it is fake, although J8H is often fake. The stitching is pretty sloppy. The only thing that I can say with certainty that looks fake are the rings on the sides. They are too rounded.

ETA: the same seller also has this fake: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Vinta...259?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item2594d5a0d3http://thezoereport.com/tee-shirt-workwear-2014/?slide=1

Comments: Stitching is nice and straight, unlined, but I'm confused because it has a creed (nice photo of it). I thought Cashin bags were all pre-creed, but I bow to the wisdom to be found here.
It's authentic. Don't believe everything you see in a listing. At least half of the sellers who claim to be selling Bonnie Cashin aren't. Some of them know it and are just trying to capitalize on the name and others have no clue. In this case, the bag is a Bonnie Cashin style but it was made after she left Coach. It was probably made in the 80s. It's a Skinny Tote #9546. The style was probably created by Bonnie Cashin in 1967 and evolved into this version.

As we've said many times, just because a seller CALLS it a Cashin purse, that doesn't mean it actually IS. I doubt if even 10 percent of Coach bags for sale online with "Cashin" in the description were actually made while Bonnie Cashin was designing for Coach.

The original design may have been created by Cashin but that bag was made years after she left the company, my guess is at least 5 years after but probably more like 10. The Skinny Tote style was made at least until 1986 and this one definitely looks like it's from very late in the style's production history,

ETA - Whoops, missed Whateve's answer - sorry 'bout that!

Could someone please authenticate this MFF Coach bag?
From GW yesterday...cheap...with no creed, I'm guessing they thought it was fake :)
Approx. 9"w x 6.5"h x 2"d Strap drop 22" to rings...outside pocket on back, inside zipper pocket.
Maybe a Soho Leather Flap Swingpack or something like that? Any idea what year?
I found a solid-colored one on ebay #F45664, but don't know if it's correct for this one.
Any info is always appreciated...thanks in advance!
