Okay, now I'm jealous again! I can't get enough grape! So gorgeous! It's authentic. I'll just have to console myself with my pocket zip.

Wow! Two identical Italian Coach bags from the same thrift store?! You should play the lottery because you've got some luck there. (It's really cute by the way--I've been hoping to find a purple Coach at my usual thrift stores.)

Don't relist without ebay's permission. If a listing was pulled as fake (or suspected) and you relist, you can risk suspension.

Call ebay and ask what you need to do in order to relist. (Authentication here probably won't be acceptable to them. You may need a professional authentication.)

Thanks for the input. The only thing they did quickly was to suspend my account without even telling me the reason. Then I talked to them on the phone, and they insist those are fake (haha, if these were fake, what happens to the real fakes?) Obviously they ask for a certificate, to which point my husband said "why bother? Keep them!". I don't want to pay for them to get authenticated elsewhere, I know they are authentic (thank you ladies all here). So I will keep them for now!

You should call ebay. Tell them that you bought them on ebay. They can check that, and then they will probably remove the strike against you (but you still can't relist). Any time a new seller lists anything that is widely counterfeited, it sends up red flags. It is best to start small to build your reputation. As Beenburned said, a tpf authentication isn't valid for ebay.

I see. I called and they asked for certificates. I wish they ask for certificates from those who frequently sell fakes too...

Why would you guess it's a fake? It looks fine to me. More opinions are welcome.
I just thought the lining looked a little cheezy and since I really couldn't see the creed well enough to read it, I just jumped to the conclusion. I'm SO glad I asked!! Thanks. I have a friend who will go ga-ga for this!

You're welcome! It is adorable. I'd go ga-ga too if I carried straw.

Please verify. I don't remember ever seeing a valid R factory code for the US.

Unfortunately Ebay's crappy photo system scrolls right past the photo of the creed when I try to use the "mouseover" feature to get a close-up. Does anyone else have the same problem? I can get the photo to show when the full set of photos is opened but there's no way to enlarge it.
(ETA - just found out that a right-click and "Open image in new tab" sometimes works, but only on some of the photos.)

What I CAN see is that the magnetic snap in the photos is NOT the kind used by Coach.

I've seen J7R- codes in fakes (but no G7R-s), but haven't found any photos of what seems like a genuine bag. "R" was used for Thailand after 2001.

ETA-
Also the other Caseys I've found are all from 1994-95 but all of them have a single piece of leather for the base of the bag. The one you're asking about is the only one with a center seam. And the metal back of the magnetic snap showing on the back of the underflap pocket should NOT be exposed. Pics of genuine 1994-95 Caseys are below.

ETAA - please note that there's one other Casey with a K7C- code and it has a center seam on the bottom but I'm not sure if it's genuine - the serial number font doesn't match the other *7C-s I have from the same time period, and the stamping on the magnetic snap doesn't match either. I can't say for sure that it's fake but it's definitely questionable.

Thanks. The bag has an extra strip of leather on back side of the flap - I've seen this on many fakes. The authentic version doesn't have a center bottom seam. I believe an authentic bag has a strip of suede covering the back of the snap on the body of the bag. I think there are enough mistakes to report.

Is there any proof that the R code was ever used for a US plant? The earliest R Thailand creed I have in my files is 1999.

I've had a problem with the mouse-over not working in Firefox. I'll get the top part of the photo and the rest will just be white. When I open it in Chrome, it works.

See the pictures and the ETA and ETAA that I posted after you replied.

So far I've never seen a US-based R plant code that I'm satisfied is genuine. And every bag I've seen with that wonky stamp on the male part of the mag snap has been fake or questionable too. Coach DID make Casey Bags in 1997 but so far the two I've found including the one you asked about both have problems besides just the center seam on the bottom.

As for the mouseover, I'm using an old version of FF most of the time but sometimes even when I switch to Chrome it gets touchy.
