Hi - I found this great "swagger" bag and want to make sure it
is authentic. Also, if anyone has any idea of the actual colors and style number?
It looks black, but the end panels have a grayish look that
I often see on vintage navy bags, then the zipper cloth looks navy blue.
Was it possibly navy and then someone re-colored it? It does
not look dyed in person, so I am flummoxed!

It looks authentic. The style number is probably 6820. It is probably black/tan. On these older bags Coach didn't match the zipper to the bag. They used either black or navy zippers. Lots of black bags have navy zippers, and many navy bags have black zippers.

The vintage brass zippers with the navy or denim-colored backing were called "industrial" zippers and were used on a lot of vintage Coaches, mainly the more casual styles, they were also described that way and as "heavy duty" in many of the catalogs. They were also a bit thicker or beefier than the standard zippers.

Hi everyone! I have a question about a United Airlines Stewardess I have..It is Black, and there has been discussion about whether COACH made UA Stews in colors other than Brown & BT..the stitching is Brown, If the bag was dyed its Definitely a professional job~although she hasnt been bathed yet..
Any info will be VERY appreciated...Happy Weekend!!:wave:

1 and 3 are both city bags, and both look fine. Number 2 doesn't have good enough pictures and there is no picture of the creed, so I can't authenticate.
