I can't figure out how to put more than one photo in, the ipad is not letting me, sorry.
Here is the creed
The leather is really stiff. The creed seems to be worn down too much for the shape the bag is in, it looks new on the outside. Does the creed look ok to you?I don't see any obvious problems with the Taft. What details are you worried about?

Thank you so much! I appreciate your help and quick reply. Some bags weren't stamped as deeply and others, and the creed and serial number were stamped separately. It's not unusual if they don't show the same stamping depth. I'm seeing enough wrinkling from wear along the top of the bag to make me believe the bag is as old as the stamp says it is.
The inside stamps can also show more wear than the outside if the owner wears a lot of jewelry. Rings and bracelets can add a lot of extra wear and tear when they rub or brush against any stamped areas. People tend to be a lot more careful of scratching the outside of their bags than they do the insides. And even conditioning products, assuming she used any, can keep leather stiffer than normal.
I don't see any problems in the important parts of the bag - the creed, top zipper, etc.
