Grrrrrr.....There is a bag that you ladies authenitcated here for me. (Much appreciated). I am trying to sell it on a local buy/sell/trade group. The moderator refuses to post it because it doesn't have a serial number. It is a swingpack. She thinks ALL bags have a number. So frustrating!!

To that site's credit, I will say that I'm impressed that they are trying to keep the site honest. That said, their way of doing so is wrong. 99% of fake have serial numbers because the counterfeiters know that's what people look for.

When are people going to realize that serial numbers, creeds, zipper brands, etc. are not what make a bag authentic?

Please send the mods (or TPTB) the following links showing your picture and the authentication.

(Just out of curiosity, I'd be interested in seeing some of the other listings on that site. I'm betting there are fakes but since they have serial numbers, they were allowed to be listed.)

ETA: Here's a C&P of my response in case they don't like to click links:

It's an authentic signature swingpack and definitely not close to being antique nor vintage. (It's from approximately 2008-10ish.)

Some smaller items such as swingpacks, pouches, wristlets, etc. may or may not have creeds. Those with creeds may or may not have serial numbers. Whether a bag has a creed with or without a serial number means nothing with regard to authenticity.

Hello all
Can anyone authenticate this bag for me
I can't find any on ebay or anywhere with this creed #15238
I do see there is a 15240 but it has a different strap set up
the bag screams authentic and feels like a real coach to me
Thanks
RC

It's authentic.

15238 is a convertible Zoe but it appears your bag is missing the removable longer strap.

I found this picture of the bag showing the crossbody strap:

15240 is a similar style but a tote:
