Thanks for taking a look- here are two more photos
I'm so sorry. I believe the bag is fake. The creed has several problems and the grooves on the back of the turnlock are further proof the bag is fake. The creed indicates the bag was made in June 1994 at the US plant C.

The most obvious difference is "Made in the United States" should be across the bottom of the creed. The "o" in "No." is elongated and the number font is incorrect. The wording is completely different. Coach eventually adopted that wording, but not by June 1994 at that plant.

You can contact the seller and tell her you just learned it was fake and see what she is willing to do. If she doesn't refund your money, you only have about a week to open a case with ebay.

I can't find any exact examples of the same month and style but this one was made one month after yours was supposed to be made.

This one was 2 months after yours.

Wow- thanks so much for all of this-- I've just sent the seller a note... we'll see what happens. I appreciate your advice!

Comments: I'm guessing this bag is more 1980s than 1960/70s as written in the description

Thank you for your time! :)

Oh I hope this works. I am new here and have recently acquired a bunch of Coach handbags. A few of them were from my grandmothers estate. She was said to never purchase a purse under $150 and most of the time from Dillards or Macy's. One of the handbags is a small (forgive my lack of knowledge) cross-body bag? It has the creed inside but no numbers. All her others have numbers. I was told that some of the vintage purses may not have a number. Is this true? If it isn't authentic, it could be a gift one of her children bought for her thinking it was authentic, or not knowing the difference. It doesn't look used at all. I am horrible with pictures and I wasn't sure how to get them up here so I posted them to my Shutterfly account and am posting the link. I apologize if I am in the wrong forum. If I am please direct me to the correct one. I haven't been on one of these boards before and I feel like I am doing this all wrong!

I'm seeing pictures of just one bag, right? It's authentic but not vintage. It's from about 2004-05-ish.

Some swingpacks, pouches, wristlets and other smaller Coach accessories items may or may not have creeds and those with creeds may or may not have serial numbers.

ETA: I believe the style number is 8A13.

Thank you for your time! :)

They both seem to be genuine. The green City Bag was actually made in 1987.

Item: Coach Crossbody Signature SPECIAL EDITION Gold/Brown Handbag 100% Auth NWT!

Listing number: 261461509813

Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261461509813

Seller: http://www.ebay.com/usr/njcati?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

My guess is that this is authentic but I'd sure love an expert to confirm, please. I asked the seller to post additional photos of the creed patch and store tag and she did so right away.

TIA!!

It's genuine, probably a Metallic Vintage Signature Swingpack made in 2004, style number 1568. The "1952" on the price tag is Coach's store code for a style number that's no longer in their records.

Thanks Hyacinth! I was a little nervous about the wording on the tag "women's accessories unk dept". Maybe it was a re-ticket situation.

Thanks again!

Oh thank you so much BeenBurned! I truly appreciate it! Yes it was just the one purse. I am pretty sure the others are legit. I have Googled the numbers and come up with the identical purses on different sites. Hopefully those were authentic. LOL! I am wanting to sell the ones I have and get some that are more my own style. One is brand new with the tags still on it but I just can't see myself using it. If you would like to see the rest and give your opinion in case I am wrong... http://share.shutterfly.com/share/received/album.sfly?startIndex=96&sid=8EYtmThyzasyC&fid=21ecdfef5a5f72d2cf4ab00f16ca9e1e

All are authentic!

You are one of the very few people who inherited all authentic items!

One caveat though: Keep in mind that googling a style number and finding others that look like the same style is not authenticating the bag.

Counterfeiters can and often do use legitimate and seemingly correct style numbers on fakes.

Since it's your reputation at stake and you didn't personally purchase the bags from authorized sources, it's a good idea to run pictures by experts to make sure you don't accidentally list a fake and risk ripping off a buyer and dinging your account.
