It looks really scratched and is missing the strap. This is the seller who sold me the disintegrating crescent. If you look closely at all her bags they look shabby.
Thank you so much......good info here and I let my sis know.
it looks like the real deal to me and i have found a few coach bags at thrift stores.Hi, i'm just new here..been reading this forum, and it helped me a loootbtw, need your help on this one, if it's authentic, as well as the style name. Thanks in advance!

A plant code of E with a made in the United States creed is always fake. The X is also an invalid month code. It can't even be an error of transposition.Item Black Handle Bag

Comment: interesting prefix - X6E - creed says made in United States - anomaly or fake? And seller bought it in the '80's!
a Logan is 9907, so it could possibly say that. I don't think the bag is authentic though. It looks like the factory code is H, and the number doesn't have the font or spacing of an H plant creed. The padding on the turnlock looks wrong too.Item Logan Bag

Comment I thought 9901 was a Chester Bag?
Reported. Do you reckon the seller really did buy it in the 80's?!!!A plant code of E with a made in the United States creed is always fake. The X is also an invalid month code. It can't even be an error of transposition.

I wouldn't buy it. I think that is a J6D prefix. I've seen fakes with a J6D prefix that look exactly like that. It is very close to looking authentic. I would never judge a bag to be fake just for silver grommets because the strap could have been changed out at some point, but that plus the anomalies in the creed make me lean towards calling it fake. I'm not sure it is provable though, so I wouldn't report it.Item: NEW Coach Vintage BLACK Leather Stewardess Messenger Shoulder Flap Purse Bag USA

Comment: J8D prefix and silver grommets? Look at the price!
Have you ever seen a seller claim a bag was newer than it was? It seems like nearly every older bag on ebay is claimed to be at least 10 years older than it actually is.Reported. Do you reckon the seller really did buy it in the 80's?!!!
I'll report that one too, thanks Whateve.

You're welcome! Maybe the seller assumes buyers will think it must be authentic if it costs that much! Thanks. It's really hard to see if its an 8 or 6. The price is crazy!
I was being sarcastic. I get so tired of the lies people tell. I'm sure some of them believe themselves! Have a good night.
