Hi guys, I'm a little confused how she can have a receipt for a Made in Korea fake!

Des. Vintage Coach Leather Bag with original receipt

Seller isn't too bright. She found a receipt in a bag she bought at a thrift store and assumed it was for this bag. Then she suggests a machine printed receipt from Dillards could be from 1905? And that if it was 2005, that was 19 years ago?

Here's one I'm having trouble identifying - I can't seem to find any information regarding this bag (at least in the few internet searches that I've done). It has the NYC creed but is without serial number. It also appears to be missing its strap as evidenced by small grommets on each side ... Can anyone provide me with a name and approximate age for this bag that is in definite need of some love!

Item Name: ??
Dimensions (in inches): length=11, height=7.5, depth=2.5, strap drop=N/A (missing strap)

Thanks a bunch!
The bag looks authentic. It was made in the mid 70s when Coach started using the creed. The early creeds didn't have serial numbers. I've never seen that exact style before. It looks like it might have been an early version of the convertible clutch. On some very early bags, straps were attached to those grommets with dogleash clips.

I wasn't sure about that either, I thought she meant 1995. Her info is really confusing, at first I thought she was saying she had bought the purse and then she goes on to say she got it at a thrift store. Anyway you look at it, it is still a fake.

Thanks for the info! Hopefully someone else can chime in with a possible identity :)

It's been removed. I kind of wish I had saved it. It was confusing because she was confused!

You're welcome! There aren't many catalogs available that old so some bags remain unidentified.

It's been removed.

It seem like the fakes posted here are removed more quickly than fakes reported directly to Ebay and posted on the Hall of Shame.

Here's a probable fake with humorous historical details, and the seller's username is probably the best I've seen.

Definitely fake - no serial number and a fake style with a fake stamp on the front.

The seller needs to either brush up on her math or on her proof-reading skills.

I missed the first listing but I found that the seller, deedeesdeals88 had previously listed the bag. There's no creed photo in this listing nor does this one mention Korea so I'm not sure how you knew it was made in Korea. (In fact, the item specifics state that it's US made.)

I haven't seen that exact metal zipper pull before but the Korean fakers were fond of using fake Coach-stamped hardware even though Coach wasn't. I'd say Korean too. And no way would a Companion Bag from ANY date cost 278 bucks. That's about twice the actual retail.

And when I enlarge the 2 photos in the listing showing the creed, the bottom line definitely says "Made In " and then a single word that's slightly larger than the "Made". So it's definitely Korea. It's hard to see in the photos but it's there.

If seller deedeesdeals88 relists, please report.

The removed listing had a picture of the Korean creed. Thanks for posting this and saving it for posterity.
