Comment: I just won this. I'm thinking it looks good. Please confirm.

I don't think it looks good. The style number looks like 9946 to me but it can't be that. It isn't a Pelham zip. It doesn't have rings for the straps and there is a center seam. It looks like an Asheville zip #9089, but that style was new in 1997. You are welcome to wait for Hyacinth to confirm.

ETA: I meant to comment on the factory code. I don't have any authentic K factory code examples in my files from the US. The earliest I have is China in 1999.

Did you happen to save a pic of the fake creed and bag? The listing has been pulled down and curious minds need to know! :D

The L4K-9946 fake that was neither a Pelham Zip or a 9946 Nicholas Drawstring looked like this - and another reminder for everyone, PLEASE have any bags with that oversized "o" in the "No" part of the serial number authenticated here before buying.

Darn it! Thanks Whateve and Hyacinth. Can't believe I didn't pick up the style number. I haven't paid so now to tell the seller.

Are you asking for the creed from the bag that myotherotherjob sold to Two.time.bags with L4K?

TIA

It's a style 9880 Classic Satchel from the late 1980s. Coach never called it a Doctors Satchel although it's a doctor-style bag. And they never would have called it a Speedy since that name is either legally trademarked or strongly associated with Louis Vuitton. It seems genuine.

Thank you, Hyacinth

I've noticed "Speedy" is frequently misused almost as much as "Vintage", "Rare" and "Bonnie Cashin".

And thank you for style numbers and years of production on both responses to my questions.
