The fourth one is a Camera Bag, style 9760 from 1987, NOT from the 70s like the seller claims.

Here is baby sister, Chauncey 9897. I never rehabbed her. I don't know if those spots might come off.

Hello Hello

I intended to post my own photos of the following bags, but alas my cell phone took a terrible tumble and I'm waiting for my replacement phone to arrive.

I have the following bags in-hand and I'm very pleased with them. However before they get a bubble bath I thought I'd run them by everyone.

1) Burgundy Soft Satchel

I purchased a bag on Etsy (brown Willis) from a lovely seller and then linked here for authentication (I know I should have done it the other way around) and it turned out to be a fake. She was quite gracious about it and felt very badly that she had put a 'fake' up for sale. I think she purchased it at an estate sale.......but I wasn't about to purchase a fake bag so she voided the sale for me and took the listing down.
Some sellers are just completely unaware about all the fakes out there on the market so it's always good (in my opinion) to open their eyes as to the marketplace, etc.

I believe I started a trend with my rehab of my Soft Satchel in Wine...LOL It's a great bag! Good luck with it.

That's a cutie!! Did you see my post from last weekend? I actually found a coach bag at my goodwill. It's only a small bag from the neoprene line, but I bought 'cause it was there. They even had a few in their glass case....but no bargains.

Katie-Manx Maybe, just maybe? an idea?..what if you asked the seller for authentication and mentioned you have had great experiences with this new forum you joined called TPF,the experts authenticate for free etc.
I have been reporting fakes on etsy &ebay all week..every one tpf calls a fake, I report~it was a test..sorry to say..the bags sell or are relisted!
Don't call the sellers out on it directly., never say its fake unless you have already paid! Then you are protected by paypal plus ebay & etsy..
IMHO its better to try post on hall of shame or report..You don't want the hassle believe me!! most likely,the seller will pull it off temporarily then relist! Its annoying, but its also up to the BUYER to do their research! Buy a 3,000. bag with no authentication??? Not the sharpest knives in the drawer!
At this time, there are so many fakes of every description ,designer & every item you can imagine! Forged art, forged signatures, autographs, jewelry..you name it~the thieves copy it..and they are good! The best you can do is watch your back & post it here..you don't want the harrassment..a friendly tip from someone who knows.. I been there done that.. no talking to sellers no more! CHEERS!! Sheri
