That's gorgeous!

Thanks, I know that you love the Italian Coach bags too! I didn't have a Chapin or a green Italian bag and this was a good price so I went for it. Thanks to Porter4 for bringing it to my attention!

Too bad it is missing the hangtag, the vendor said that the bag originally belonged to her Mother and she removed the hangtag shortly after she bought it - oh well!

Hi there, I'd be grateful if you guys could help me authenticate this bag:

Item: VINTAGE COACH COURT 9870 HAND BAG CROSSBODY BURGUNDY UNITED STATES
Listing number:130931756901
Seller: billybblue

Many thanks in advance!!

It seems genuine, but I'm wondering if it's been re-dyed a different color? The natural suede parts of the inside seem really light compared to the color of the smooth leather pieces. Maybe someone who has a bag in that color from the late 80s or early 90s can compare it to theirs.

I have a burgundy lightweights satchel. The inside suede is a definite burgundy color, not white like that one. I also have a green court from the same era that is very green on the inside.

That's a shame since the hangtags can't be replaced, but it is still a gorgeous bag!

Hmm, that's too bad! I do love the color but am not sure I'm willing to pay that much for a bag that's been re-dyed...

Thanks for the input!!

Hello, Ladies,
one more bag:

vintage coach leather suede handbag purse briefcase
Seller: trueazul7

Thank you!

Genuine, but probably not from the Bonnie Cashin era. More likely made between the very late 1970s and 1988. It was called a Slim Satchel Compact, style number 9425.
The seller's measurements don't match the pictures. It looks more like a Slim Satchel Standard, which would be about 9 1/2 inches tall.

Hi again, shifting my focus to navy and have found the following on Etsy. I haven't seen authentication requests for Etsy but if people are willing and able I would be very grateful for feedback!

Item: Vintage Coach Dark Blue Leather Cross body Shoulder bag, Messenger bag, Court Bag, Handbag
Listing number: N/A
Seller: MoloHouse
Link: https://www.etsy.com/listing/152038...ga_facet=coach+court+bag&ga_view_type=gallery
Comments: this looks to be in amazing condition for something that looks from the creed to be made in 1997 - too good to be true??

It's genuine. But like with any other bags that look perfect, it's almost impossible to tell what may have been done to it in the name of "conditioning" so always check the seller's return policy in case there are problems.

You might also ask about the strap length, at that time the standard length was 44 inches including the clips but the seller says 38 inches. I'm not sure if Coach was still offering any alternate strap lengths in 1997 but if they did, it's not mentioned in their catalogs. I'm wondering if the strap has been modified.

Thanks, Whateve, that's what I thought too but just wanted to be sure. There are a lot of bags out there that were re-dyed when the original light color got stained or dirty and this is probably one of them.

Hi I picked up a couple of things at an estate sale over the weekend and want to make sure they're authentic. Could you please give opinions and names? Thanks in advance for your expertise!
