NO, the Signature pattern is NOT always centered. Whatever source or "guide" you found that information in, ignore it. There are dozens of style and lines with uncentered Cs. The Salearea Guide that debunks those ridiculous "authenticity Guides" explains that clearly.

"THE CENTERED C RULE or THE C'S ARE PERFECTLY STRAIGHT RULE

MOSTLY true, with plenty of exceptions. The center seam or a line down the front of a bag with Signature or Op Art C's should usually divide it into 2 halves that are mirror images of each other.
But:
Sometimes the back isn't correctly centered like style 10483 and the front is mistaken for the back.
Some C patterns on styles like some older Scribble Hobos don't follow the rule.
Some Messenger Bags like # 70077, Heritage Stripe Crossbody Messenger have NOTHING centered.
Most Signature Tartan Plaid bags and accessories made for the outlets in 2010 and 2011 don't follow the Rule, like #15229, 15485 and a bunch more.
Some older bags with Shearling Lamb trim from 2005 like 8K47, 8K48, have the C's set at a 45-degree angle, and so do some of the coated Canvas items sold at the outlets in 2011.

Many fabric patterns don't or won't follow the Rule, like almost all the Scarf Pattern items, and ALL the Optic Signature items where you couldn't line them up if you tried because the pattern is designed to make the C's look randomly scattered all over the fabric.
Many newer patterns and embossed leathers from 2011 don't seem to follow any sort of alignment rules either.

If you're not sure what these styles and patterns look like, Search for them on Ebay. Ask at the Purses Forum if you're not sure."

The Ikats aren't mentioned specifically but readers are warned to NOT assume something's fake because the Cs aren't centered. In fact if you had Searched the main Coach forum here for the words "centered pattern" you would have found a post I made three days ago covering this question and posting some examples of uncentered Cs, along with a warning about depending too much on online "authenticity guides".

The photo you posted is from Coach's own files, and here's its brother - neither of them have centered Cs. When you get the bag you bought, post photos here and we can tell you if it's genuine. Or if you read the first post in this thread like all new posters should, you'll find out what information we need to authenticate items and you can post links to the Ebay listing until you get the actual bag.
Thank you so much, you were very helpful! I'll be sure to post pictures as soon as it gets here. Thank you

Hello, I was wondering if anybody could authenticate any of these bags if they had some time. I want to make sure they were authentic before attempting to sell them.

I had 7 bags so I uploaded the pictures to Box:
https://www.box.com/s/x9nfb974dorcvbl064rf

Bag 1: 9976 - Anderson?
The ink stamp of "FS" threw me off. I searched the forum, but didn't see any "FS" stamps like this? Were ink stamps common? FS means "final sale", correct? That also meant something was wrong with the bag?

Bag 2: Helen's Legacy bag
The creed is throwing me off.

Bag 3: ?
This is a huge bag. 13" in height and a base with a 9" diameter.

Bag 4: Prairie bag

Bag 5: 5180 briefcase
I googled this model number and saw a lot of different looking briefcase so I am unsure about this one.

Bag 6: Chadwick?
I couldn't find a lot of information on this bag. The creed is quite faded on one side.

Bag 7: Hippie Flap Bag
Is the serial number normal for bags made in China?

Thank you for any help. (:

Could I get an opinion on this bag, please?

The zipper pull is wrong (and one we've seen on other fakes) and I believe the stitching around the zipper should be rounded rather than squared off. Thanks in advance!

I can definitely state that this one is fake.

The style number on the creed is 9927 and this bag is NOT a willis.

Oooo, I like the slider that Box uses for enlarging photos. Too bad Photobucket didn't do something like that instead of messing things up as badly as they have with the recent "upgrades". The page is too sentitive to mouseovers though.

1- Anderson Zip - I think FS means that it couldn't be returned for a refund or sent back to Coach to be repaired. Most of the time the damage or flaw is very small, but you need to contact the seller of the bag.

2- It's a normal Turkish creed and serial number, and neater than most

3- seems to be a genuine Duffle Sac #9085 probably from the early 1990s

4- looks ok

5- genuine. The other 5180s on Ebay seem ok at first glance too, what may be confusing is that the turnlock and tab design was changed in 1996. This one still has the older turnlock

6- yes, Chadwick Satchel, genuine

7- the style seems identical to the Small Hippie Flap 9135 but I'm guessing the China-made bags were all Outlet versions since the first 4 I looked at all have outlet stamps. And that's a normal China creed and serial from the early 2000s, other 9131s on Ebay have the same creed.

Could someone take a look at this bag? I've not seen this style before.

Description: VINTAGE COACH HANOVER IN BRITISH TAN - VERY RARE ORIGINAL

It seems genuine. I haven't seen it before so can't give you any details. Coach recently introduced a Legacy version with the Hanover name so there's definitely one in Coach's history, just not in my files or catalogs.

Hi, there can someone provide information regarding the following items.

Item #1

Vintage Coach Tan Taupe Leather Doctor Satchel Bag

Seller: station_85

Item no. 360675683968

Link: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/360675683968

Comment: Would this bag be a good candidate for a bath if it's genuine rather than a dye job?

Item # 2

Vintage Coach Dark Brown Leather Dome Satchel

Seller: thecoachexpress

Item no. 390608463173

Link: http://www.ebay.ca/ca/itm/390608463173

Comment: could I get a hang tag for this colour? And would you recommend giving it a bath to see if the colour would even out?

Thanks in advance

Sorry, I just noticed this post.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT BUYING FROM SELLER " STATION_85 " - PLEASE READ THE SELLER'S RECORD OF NEGATIVE AND NEUTRAL FEEDBACKS AT TOOLHAUS.ORG
http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=station_85&Dirn=Received+by&ref=home

Two of the most recent:
"disappointed;item old&worn~the purse should have been put in the garbage"

"Not completely leather just straps, $5.00 thrift store bag, very disappointed."

The seller has so many problems that the full page won't even load and keeps timing out. I have personal experience with this seller and would NEVER buy from them again.

PLEASE always check the seller's Feedback at Toolhaus before bidding.

The second seller " thecoachexpress " currently has a fake listed.
