The first one has several problems. Surprisingly, the creed looks good which I find scary since that is where counterfeiters seem to screw up the most. The tab is padded like on a Willis. On the Station bag there shouldn't be any padding. The rings on the handle look too round and the handle looks too wide and not tapered. With all those problems, it can't be authentic. The second one might be okay but the creed picture is too blurry. The F plant isn't one we see often and needs to be looked at closely IMO.

Oops, those weren't Court bags I asked about... I'm on the hunt for either a Court or Station bag.

Oh, and I emailed to let the first seller know it's not authentic. Should I report it as well, or hope they will remove it first?

You're welcome.

Sometimes sellers can get nasty when you tell them their listing isn't authentic. Some of them are nice and grateful but you can't predict which ones are. I would report it. I'd hate to think someone might buy it before it got removed. If the seller is honest, she'll have it taken down before ebay even has a chance to look at the report.

A court bag is much more roomy than a station bag. Station bags are narrow. You should make sure that they are big enough for you before you get one.

Genuine Hamptons Leather Lunch Tote - Coach lists the measurements as 9x8x3 although all Ebay sellers are giving slightly larger measurements so please make sure it's big enough for what you need.

ETA - Coach's measurements can be a little off, they list it as 9 5/8 length (side to side) by 8 3/4 high, but it seems like the bag is taller than it is wide. :shrugs:

Whoops - sorry! I didn't notice BeenBurned had already answered.

Thank you hyacinth!! I was wondering about the size. I think it will be just right!! It should be there when I get home from work!! : D

I can see one problem with the creed when you have another to compare it to. The size of the letters in the Coach logo in the black fake are just a bit larger than the two genuine tan bags below. The letters in the Coach name also are standing a bit above the background on the first two bags, but are stamped down and recessed into it on the fake. And here's a listing for another Station Bag from the same plant but two months earlier that also has the smaller raised letters in the name:

ETA - I'll add the genuine black one with the F month code and raised-letter-logo creed to the bottom under the fake black one. So it's REAL, REAL, FAKE, REAL.

Thanks. Now that you point it out, it is super obvious. I didn't look at it closely enough.

ETA: What do you think of the second station bag she asked about? http://www.ebay.com/itm/321130874991?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
The only F plant creed I have in my files is a briefcase with a unique serial number font. If this bag really has an F plant code, the font doesn't appear to look like the one I know is authentic.

Thought this bag looked ok but needed a double check.

Comment: if it is authentic, what's the style name.

I know this has to be fake. I just wanted to share it. The styling looks a little like a Madison with the wrong kind of leather, the hangtag is similar to Sheridans, the inside zipper pull is reminiscent of Sonomas, the creed is a separate piece even though the bag is unlined. I wish I could read the creed - does it say Made in Korea?

The seller of the first fake, leviuva should definitely have the listing reported.

You can count me as another who doesn't recommend contacting sellers to let them know their items are fake. Some know exactly what they're peddling and don't appreciate getting "caught." And if they report your unwanted message to ebay, even though you did it with the right intentions, YOU can get suspended for misuse of the messaging system.

A better way to send the seller a strong message is to report the listing and hopefully, when ebay removes it, the message will get through to the seller.

In this case, I don't recommend leviuva because even when she was told that the bag is fake, she left the listing up and running, possibly allowing another buyer to get scr3w3d.

Please report!

Sometimes I ask the seller a question and when they give the answer I point out the anomaly. The 'innocent' ones with integrity always reply and either thank me or ask for more info to which I refer them to the guides or here. The guilty ones don't reply so then I report them. I figure I can't be reported for harassment if I'm asking a legitimate question about their item.
