I already told you I thought it was authentic here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-818914-641.html#post26021972

If you bought it on ebay, you should always post a link to the auction. It helps us to evaluate the seller as well as the bag.
I am so sorry I missed the reply and have read only the part about how to load the photos. Thank you for your help!
I am new here and do not know how to post a link to the auction. Please provide me the steps so that I can note it for future use.

The first post in this thread tells you the information we need: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-818914.html

To post a link, this is how you would do it on a PCE. Load the ebay page for the auction on your computer. Then place your mouse over the address bar and right click. Then click copy in the drop down menu. Open up the purse forum page and in the response box, right click again and choose paste.

Hi - Can anyone look at my posting #9635 ?
Other than the hang tag (which could have been added at any time) I can't find anything else wrong with this to call it a fake. Any other opinions please?
Regarding the questionable prefix,
Is the "Y" plant a correct USA plant for this year?
I hate to return it if it is a good bag. Thanks.

That serial prefix is often impossible to prove either real or fake and like other J**- codes it's just best to avoid them. I can't find any PROVEABLY genuine bags with that prefix so there's nothing to compare the creed or serial number to.

It's not worth taking a chance with those serial numbers.

ETA - the only thing close to "proof" that the Ridgefield Flap is fake is that the style wasn't introduced until Fall 1999.

I am looking for a mini coach bag. I love the mini pleated top handles in patent (all colors) I have seen this style bag on Ebay many times and it never has the leather patch/identifier inside. The first is new but the second shown below is pre-owned(ish) tags removed. How can one identify a real vs fake if there is no "new" tag on it and for that matter, even if there is?

Style: Mini Pleated Top handle
seller: khaki13
