Hi everyone,
Could you please authenticate this coach bag for me?

Thank you very much xx

Please wait for other opinions on this bag. I'm not comfortable with the listing but I'm hoping someone might have the same bag from the same factory.

The creed in the listing you're asking about (made in 2012) is lacking the horse and carriage logo.

These are two other listings, one from 2011 and one from 2012 both have the logo.

From 2011: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Madis...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

From 2012: http://www.ebay.com/itm/398-COACH-M...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I'm not commenting on the color of the lining (even though different) because the listing from ljandsteve describes the bag as tan. The others are persimmon. If they aren't the same colors, the lining colors can differ.

Hi ladies! I'm dipping my toe into restoring vintage Coach bags, I've been finding great deals all around my area, now I'm curious what's real and what isn't.. I currently own two real Coach bags from the outlet, a baby bag and a crossbody I've not really ever seen before...

Now onto the purchases!!

Here is a suede coach bag, I paid under $20 for it at Value World here in Michigan.. It's obviously very stained, and I am considering dyeing it, I just need to read up more on that because I'm not sure this level of dirt can be removed from suede.. I will be taking it to my local shoe repair place for a consult! ;)

After a bit of digging, I've found another bag from the same month and factory as the bag from ljandsteve.

This creed is also lacking the horse and carriage logo.

Now I'm thinking that the bag is authentic but I'd feel more comfortable with other opinions.

I'm no help with restoration but the bag is authentic.

I hope it can be cleaned up!

You can use suede cleaner and a brush. There is a product called suede renew that I have used on my daughters Uggs to restore the color. I bought it at a local high end shoe store. It is basically spray paint for suede. It would probably work great on your bag. My daughters Uggs came out looking like new. You have to tape over anything you do not want sprayed. I bet you could make this a deep beautiful brown.

I was thinking deep brown too... At first I really wasn't into the bag, poor thing.. It's really stiff and dirty.. But the lining is beautiful. And she hangs wonderfully, a perfect length and not too weighty, but still substantial.. I guess you can tell I've really fallen in love with bags lately..

There is a rescue and rehab club for purses here on purse forum! It is really helpful! I'm not my phone so I don't have a link, but I can post it later! The current one had about 50 pages into the thread (there were a couple of threads that closed after to many listing and then opened a fresh one!) good luck and let us know how it turns out

I'd like an opinion on these:
seller: airjewels06
Item: Vintage Coach turnlock wristlet wallet, striped lining, black leather
# 231127846115
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Coa...115?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35d04b0ce3
Comments: The back of the turnlock has grooves. The strap has a grommet, not like vintage straps that were usually sewn. I'm not sure about the location of the lozenge imprint.
same seller:
item: Vintage Coach makeup bag small, black leather, blue and white striped lining
# 231127880213
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Coa...213?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item35d04b9215
Comments: The lozenge imprint looks funny and too low down.

Seller: s_trout1
Item: Vintage Coach Purple Leather Cinch Backpack #9960
# 171205562275
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Coa...275?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item27dca58fa3
Comments: the color is a bit unusual

Happy New Year everyone! Hope 2014 is off to a good start! Could someone take a peek at this one? Thanks!

Item: Red Leather Waverly

I don't feel comfortable with this one. The J8Y prefix has been used on some very good fakes. The stitching is a little sloppy and the zipper pull isn't quite right.
