Thanks again! I got up this morning to check out your response and discovered that someone bought the bag. Wow - these things go fast! Thankfully I purchased the brown Willis bag last night, but it would have been nice to have scored a black one also. Anyway, I appreciate your help.:smile1:

1- may be ok but we need to see an end-to-end pic of the inside pocket zipper showing the full zipper out to the outside edges of the pocket since the creed and serial number are so faded

2- same problem, the serial number is almost unreadable so it's impossible to authenticate completely although there aren't any obvious problems in the photos

3- there are problems with the strap, and that serial number prefix J8D- has been found in a LOT of fakes especially in that font. Do NOT buy that bag from ucc.vintageclothing-2009

That is a nice purse. Over time I have really started to like carrying satchels. I like the way the zipper opens down the side of the purse so you don't have to be digging around pulling stuff out before you get to what you want. And even though I always want one with a shoulder strap I do remove them sometimes. I really like the Asheville domed zip too, it is really roomy.

The soft satchel is nice because the handles fit on your shoulder.

Yes and yes...this satchel opens nice and wide, making all your contents visible and easily accessible. And the handles do fit on your shoulder.

This tan soft satchel is nice but I don't think I could get past all the ink inside.

Love a satchel ! I buy other styles of vintage of bags just to look at lol! I'm going to be patient and try to find a wine coloured one like yours. It's gorgeous.

Interesting that the seller ended the auction and relisted starting at $9.99. If anyone's considering bidding, the ink may come out with rubbing alcohol and some light scrubbing, or at least fade quite a bit.
