It is a Bixby sling. Seller is mistaken in calling it a Berkeley. All Berkeleys have some suede on the exterior. I've seen creeds like this before. I don't remember on how many bags. It seems like it is only on drawstrings.

Thanks. I guess when you think about it an interior pocket sewn into the top seam would make it really difficult to close the drawstring properly.

This is very pretty. Does anyone have any info on this style? It has that gorgeous saffiano leather but it looks more yellow than beige to me. I checked the serial on eBay and on the web generally and found nothing so I don't know if that is a big red flag. The seller has free shipping but some scary negatives on LV which I know less than nothing about.

It's not exactly saffiano leather, I don't think. I don't own any saffiano so I wouldn't know for sure. It is part of the Gramercy collection. The lining is pig suede. I've never seen this collection faked. They didn't make it very long and it doesn't look like typical Coach so I don't know if counterfeiters would be interested in copying it. I don't have this style in my files but the details match other Gramercy styles. I'm not sure about the color. This might have been called wheat.

ETA: 5 of the 12 negatives were given by the same buyer.

Could someone please authenticate this Coach bag?
Bought at Goodwill yesterday. Price tag was marked "as is"...no clue why...pristine condition inside and out, no rehab necessary YAY!
Approx. 10”w x 9”h x 4”d Strap drop 10”
My guess is a 2000 Legacy Hobo #9058...yes?
I also have a brown one and bought a black one with brass hardware...both years ago.

Only bags made when they first came out have the 70th anniversary tag. The second generation has the striped lining with a plain tag and the cutout tag. The third generation has plain lining and different hangtags. Then there is the archival Willis which has a special hangtag and tassels.

It looks fine and you identified it correctly. I never understand why they mark them "as is" at Goodwill. I guess that prevents them from giving you a discount if you do find a flaw. I was able to get a bag reduced from $20 to $3 because of some damage.
