I am no expert but it is weird that it has silver hardware and made in USA! I think most vintage bags have brass hardware... And now they are made in China etc. Plus the zipper looks like a different color than hardware! I'm on my phone so I could be wrong! The price seems to good to be true! Te bag is in good shape but there are a lot of marks on leather so I don't know! Just thought I would share!

You are right. It is the wrong style number. It has the J8H prefix we see on a lot of fakes and the font is questionable. It also doesn't match other creeds from that plant. It is fake.

According to the creed, the bag isn't vintage. Just because a bag is all leather doesn't make it vintage. According to the creed, it was made in 1998 and Coach started using nickel hardware in some of their styles in 1997. The zipper does look brass and Coach wouldn't mix hardware.

I'm not sure what the differences are (if any) but the wallets have different style numbers. Listing 1 and 3 are style 46481 and listing 2 is 44370.

It looks good.

I think the wallets were made at different times and have slight differences. The differences between the two styles are the size of the horse and carriage/Coach lozenge, and the arrangement of the gathers. I have a raspberry gathered wallet. I don't have the original style number but it matches the magenta wallet almost exactly.

The bag is a geuine Dakota Cartwright Bag made in 1991 or 1992. Style number was 4208, and the leather is stiffer than Coach's regular glove-tanned leather and also very weather-resistant just like Dooney's All-Weather Leather. I'm a big fan of the Dakotas and Sheridans, and there's more information about them in the Salearea Guide to Coach's Italian-made bags:
