Could someone please authenticate this Coach bag?
Bought at Goodwill this morning.
Approx. 7”w x 5”h x 3”d Snap Strap 9”
Found one on ebay this morning that was called a Hamptons Small Zipper Pouch...does that sound right? Would love to know style number and age if possible.
As always, thanks in advance!
I got the same bag for my daughter.
And this one too?
Also from Goodwill this morning...sadly missing the dogleash zipper pull :(
Approx. 9”w x 9”h x 2”d Strap drop 18”
Maybe a 2002 Leather Slim Duffle (or something similar) #9326?
Any and all info is always appreciated...Thanks in advance!
I recently got a red hobo from the same time period that was also missing the pull. So jealous of all your finds!

If that's the zipper pull that has a dog leash type of clip, those often go missing at thrifts. They're too easy to "borrow," IMO!

She can insist she bought it from Coach till the cows come home but that bag did not come from Coach, and all that's necessary to know it's fake was a peek at the first picture. The other pictures only provide further proof that there's nothing right about it!

1. The style isn't made
2. The pattern is uncentered and misaligned
3. The serial number is invalid for this style.
4. The lining would never be on this type of bag. (Coach makes a lozenge lining but it isn't on this style and isn't thin, cheap, tacky rayon.

Honestly, Coach's totes are nothing like this one!

Feel free to refer your seller here for "enlightenment!" Perhaps she'll recall where she really purchased it.

If the wristlet came from the same seller, I recommend that you post pictures of that too. If she claims it came from the same "Coach outlet" as the bag, it's probably fake too.

ETA: This is what style 2181 should look like and some current listings for the valid style:

Thank you for posting the picture. I looked and couldn't find one. Sadly I really believe this girl was taken too. She was very nice about everything and she called the Coach number and spoke with them as well. She said she bought them at the Coach Outlet store in Orlando, problem is Coach themselves do not have one there, but I have seen the store that she is talking about, so obviously they are selling counterfeits. She met me a little while ago and returned the money and posted on her ad that it was no longer for sale as she has been made aware that it is fake. Thank you so much everyone for your help. You not only saved me but hopefully she will now think twice about buying from that store. I'm writing Coach now to let them know about this store.

It's authentic and your pouch is from approximately 2004-05.

Thanks, BeenBurned...I actually saw this one yesterday...thought it was fake (the snap on the strap to make it a wristlet threw me!)...found one on ebay this morning (showing the strap snapped like a wristlet!) and was at Goodwill when they opened this morning! Thought $4.99 was a good price! She was filthy...cleaned up really well...looks new!

It's a genuine Small Slim Duffle Sac

It's authentic and leather slim duffle sounds good to me.

Thanks for the names!

Thanks...the little blue bag is really cute...oohh PURPLE trim!

Yeah, others I've seen had the dogleash doo-hickey. I'll bet I can make a reasonable facsimile! (added): YAY, I have a nickel (non-coach) dogleash clip in my "parts" drawer...now for some nice red leather :)

THANKS to ALL OF YOU...you're the BEST authenticators on tPF...hugs to all!

I am selling a purse on ebay.

I had a question about the creed and I'm hoping that it really is authentic. The creed is stamped into the leather, but the top seems to be very light. Could it have been rubbed away?

Thanks!

The last 4 numbers in the serial number almost look like -9527, are you sure it says 9927?

The bag looks genuine though, and yes, creed stampings can get worn away over time, especially when the owner uses it a lot and wears rings or bracelets that wear it down.

I'm glad it worked out for you and the seller was nice about it. I hope Coach will do something about that store that sells fakes.

Got the bag I showed and it is authentic! One question (I know this is not the right thread, but you guys are very knowledgeable!) there is a deep scratch or gauge on the leather! How do I fix??
