Could someone please authenticate this NYC Coach Leatherware bag?
Bought at Goodwill yesterday.
13”w x 9”h x .75”d Handle 7.5”
I would love to know name and age (mid-70's?).
And if anyone knows if the wrist strap should look like the ones on a Basic Bag. The stitching is loose on this one, just don't know if it's missing something.

As always, thanks in advance!
It's a 9555 slim clutch large. My catalog picture is from 1981. I don't know how many years they made these. I have the smaller one and it doesn't have the extra leather piece wrapped around the strap that the basic bag does. Mine is stitched all the way across with small stitches. There are a lot of frayed threads. I think it might have been wrapped with thread at one time.

Hello, Can you please authenticate two bags I recently bought off ebay? The first is an original rambler, the item number is 121203001086, the seller is snuggles864june, the link ishttp://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Original-Rambler-/121203001086?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&nma=true&si=ZjwhD7qkn%252FkgXyn38KMxnB3bvTI%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
The second bag I don't know the name of, it looks similar to a musette but much smaller, the seller is deadhunter, the item number is 291007831470, the link is

I am including pictures as the sellers didn't have great pictures. I have several ramblers and this seems identical except it has a number 161 sprayed in silver paint on the inside floor of the bag, and there is an around the inside bottom seams where the leather shows white instead of brown. I am concerned about the other bag as it seems to have wrinkled areas on the flap and upper left corner of the back of the bag. Also, if you can tell me the name of this bag as I have never seen one like it since I started collecting vintage coach. Thanks
Both bags look fine. The second one is a Pony Express Pouch #9670 probably from around 1982. It looks cute!

Thanks whateve. The pony express needs some TLC, and I wanted to authenticate it before I started. The didn't disclose the stain on the back and the wrinkled leather on parts of the bag. I'm going to post in the rehab thread to ask for advice to help fix it up. I thought about contacting the seller for a return, but I haven't seen one before for sale.

You're welcome! I've never seen one before either. I'm looking forward to seeing your rehabbed bag.
Thanks for looking. I'm going to give it a miss especially as the seller increased the starting bid by $20 after I'd requested more pics!
You're welcome! Sorry I couldn't help more.

Comment:This is absolutely the last bag I'm buying this year (unless something REALLY REALLY special and affordable comes along)! Whateve, please let me know what you think. The seller says the zipper pull has been replaced but I wonder if this is the 'paper clip' zipper pull that is mentioned in the Sac Mag guide?

The bag looks authentic. The color is gorgeous! I have no idea about the zipper pull. It looks a little makeshift to me.

I would love to know what Goodwill you go to??
I never find anything good in our stores, they probably get "cherry-picked" by
the employees :nogood:

Hello Expert, can you please authenticate this purse.

Item: Coach Leatherware Handbag

Link: https://poshmark.com/listing/528974ee82fe065ace076c0f

Thank you very much.
I have the same bag, made just a month after this bag in the same factory. The zipper on mine doesn't say YKK. Normally, we don't use zipper brands to authenticate since Coach has used many brands of zippers, but I find it curious that two bags made a month apart in the same factory wouldn't have the same brand of zipper. Everything else I can see in these photos and the photos in the original listing leads me to believe this bag is authentic.

Thanks, whateve...I figured from the copyright symbol and glued-in registration number, it would have been mid 70's or so. Gotta get out the needle and thread :)

Goodwill employees in our area are not allowed to shop at their own stores! I'm on the Gulf Coast of Florida with 3 stores close by: Nokomis, Venice and North Port. North Port also has a Bargain Barn where purses are $1.50 and clothes $1.69/lb. Venice has a pretty well-heeled, retirement-aged population which I think results in so many older (and often well-cared-for) bags being donated. And we have a standing $5 off $25 or more coupon that we can flash on our smart phones at checkout. How cool is that!?
