Bag appears to be fine. I would ask if it is smoke-free.
Good Morning...could someone please authenticate this Coach Leatherware bag?
Bought yesterday at Salvation Army...30% off sale...yay!
Approx. 7w x 7.5h x 2d Strap drop 21
Smaller than a Compact Pouch and has dogleash clips on double shoulder strap. Excellent condition...even the hangtag chain is shiny!
Would love to know name, age, style #... I'm clueless on this one!
Based on age would Tabac be a color choice...this one's not as orange as BT...sort of a medium brown (I know it's hard, just thought I'd ask).
Every bit of info is much appreciated...as always, Thanks in advance!
Sorry, I can't find anything like it with a double strap and clips. Could the strap mountings have been changed? The clips don't look quite like Coach dogleash clips either.
Can anybody help me ascertain the name /style of this bag? Authentic? I keep thinking 'Baxter' but that does not seem right either. Any help would be very appreciated! TIA

I found this exact same bag from a local woman who bought stuff directly from Coach way back in the day. Ive got the bag stored away, so could only find old photos I took this past summer. The lot of items you see are all the things I bought from her and include several unconventional old NYC bags with unusual strap detailing that may have been predecessors to later models? She had an amazing collection of old Coach plus vintage Gucci, etc. She was a true kindred soul LOL. But anyway, I hope seeing another bag like this confirms its authenticity somewhat. If more photos are needed I'll dig out the bag from wherever I stored her.
Here's a shot cropped in on this bag:

Here's the lot I bought from her with similarly aged bags alongside it. Includes an older pocket style purse but with a grommet strap attachment instead of the traditional. All are NYC era except for the Coach planner and the Broadway I think

Coach used combination letter and number style numbers (the second half of the full serial number) for one year, 2005. And as BeenBurned pointed out before, the fakers have copied those numbers too.
There's a lot of information about serial numbers including those combination style numbers in the Salearea Coach Guides:

I purchased this very vintage navy bag from a thrift (along with a few
::koff:: others that you'll see here eventually! ) . I almost left this behind because it has absolutely no creed or logo that I could find anywhere - but it had so many things about it that seemed bang-on for an early Coach, that I grabbed it
It's quite dirty, and worn but the leather is all sound.
Style: Slim bucket zip top shoulder/crossbody bag
Color: Navy blue leather
Size: 11.75" L x 9.5"- 12" W x 4"
Strap drop apprx. 19-24"
I tried to shoot as many details/clues as possible - if you need anything else posted let me know. I'd very much appreciate any thoughts/ideas on this bag - Thanks as always!!
EDIT.. eeek I think the server just dropped all my photos! Am checking/ re-adding, hold tight![]()
Wondering about this. When i cross reference it, bottom doesn't match others for the same year. Code listed in copy not the same as what is stamped on creed.

Thanks.
Sorry, without any Coach stamp or logo it's impossible to authenticate it. It looks like a copy of something from the Lightweights line but it should have a creed if it was real, and probably wouldn't have had what looks like a generic zipper either.
