They were both up at a great price and looked okay to me so I jumped on them, just hoping they're legitimate ~ Thanks in advance for your help!

*Also, can someone tell me how to find a list or reference of 'not so reliable' or "iffy" sellers?

Both bags look authentic.

There's no such thing as a list of iffy sellers. Not only would a list like that change every day, but anyone who publicly posted a list like that would leave themselves wide open for legal action.

Keep your own list by reading this forum on a daily basis and making notes of the sellers we recommend against dealing with, but remember that a seller can change their Ebay ID in about 30 seconds. It's every individual member's responsibility to do research into anyone they're thinking of buying from.

Check the "Feedback received by" search feature at Toolhaus.org
http://toolhaus.org/

Search the frorums her at tPF for sellers' names and reported problems, but understand that the tPF Forum software still has a MAJOR problem with all seller names or IDs that have any sort of symbol that isn't a number or letter. For instance searching for a name like " linda*s***stuff " won't bring up any results because of the asterisks, and the same problem happens with dashes - or underscores _, all of which are used in a lot of Ebay and other site IDs. Often you can be directed to posts here if you enter the full ID including the characters into Google Search, but it's always best to ask here directly.

They're both fine.

My pocket purse looks like the one in your second picture, but I've seen some that look like the first picture. I think that with age, they can get stretched out and look like that. I have no idea if their quality control would have caught it if it had left the factory like that. If that is the only thing wrong with it, I still feel it is authentic. To answer your question, even if the creed is perfect, if there are other details that don't match, we might determine a bag is fake. Usually counterfeiters make several mistakes and it seems to be hardest for them to get the creed correct. The other part they often miss on is the turnlock.

Thank you so much! That was very helpful in alleviating my worries!

Hello coach gurus!
I'm afraid to even post this as I think I know the answer and have already bought...but I suppose I will be wiser in the future. Picture of creed to follow, I'm having trouble uploading.

Item: Coach Bordeaux Red Vintage Leather with Brass Studs Hobo 9641
Listing number:271287173644
Seller: flagirlintx

Comments:

A better photo of the creed would help when you get the bag but it looks like a perfectly genuine Soho Vintage Buckle Hobo from 2004. Coach's photo is below.

I have this Coach wallet that I bought several months ago, and I am curious. Hopefully this is right.

Some of it looks crooked and it's not.

Item Name (if you know it): N/A
Link (if available): N/A
Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)

:graucho:
sorry if this isn't allowed, i'm just dying to know

and thanks for doing the purse! it was nice to double check and see if my feeling was right

1- seems ok, seller has the wrong serial number listed. It's a Soho Small Flap.
2- ok
3- ok, correct name is Chester Bag, style 9901
4- ok, Geometric Bag
5- ok

None of them are especially rare, and I usually don't comment about rarity. Don't buy something because it's rare, buy it because you like it and are going to use it.
Thanks very much Hyacinth. I really appreciate the time you take to do this. I quite like them all so I was looking for another feature -rarity- to help me decide. However as my surname is Anderson and I love green, that one is likely to win!

item: Broadway Satchel
listing number: 261288453474
Seller: Sacs Magnifiques
link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261288453474?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
Comments: I purchased this super cute doctor bag called the Broadway Satchel. I liked it so much, thought it was Bonnie Cashin era and found another one on Etsy. THEN I got that also. I'd like to know what year it was made!

I've seen similar listings that name Bonnie Cashin as the designer, vintage 60s, vintage 70s, vintage 80s. After *MANY* calls to Coach, one really kind manager looked it up and said it was sold in 1992 because he saw the catalog page of it that year (same page as shown at Sacs Magnifique). That photo show the bag on what appears to be a sand surface - maybe a beach. I was so disappointed! He said it was possible that it was a remake from earlier years. I had seen a catalogue page of a completely different ad - of the same bag sitting on what looked like a train seat or some sort of fabric bench seat.

Can anyone help me?
