ETA: The seller has a fake Jimmy Choo listing that was ended early, probably because someone contacted her and suggested she remove it. And she has a neg for selling fake sneakers.

Do not buy from maher1013

*** Regarding the earlier post of seller maher1013's fake (and extremely ugly!) coach bag ... I tried to report the item but it kept kicking it back with an error saying the listing number is invalid- Even though the report was generated *through* the listing. Does that mean its not a legitimate listing or something?? .
Sorry to ask so many questions!! It just really bugs me to see people capitalizing on counterfeit items.
You got the error message because you were trying to report a listing that (evidently) had already been reported and removed.

Hi~ Id greatly appreciate your input on this bag ....

ITEM: "Authentic Coach 13420 Parker Signature op Are Convertible Hippie Bag"
ITEM #: 121190252308
SELLER: writergirl27
LINK: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121190252308?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1426.l2649

Im usually very careful but bid on this item by mistake. I'll most likely get stuck with it, so I just wanted to ensure that its authentic at least.

Thanks so much!! I'm amazed that you all are able to determine so much just from pictures. How did you end up doing these authentications- did someone sell you a counterfeit bag?

Thanks again! =) This is a great site!

All their keyfobs are fake. Please report. Several listings are using photos of genuine keychains stolen from other sellers or from Coach's website so we can assume those are also fake.

Apparently Ebay members in the US aren't able to buy any of the seller's keychains so we can't report them either. If fake Coach keychains are illegal to sell in Singapore, I hope our local members there will report this seller's fake keychains.

DO NOT BUY FROM SINGAPORE SELLER ah_yun OR " ah yun " or ahyun
I changed the URL from .com.sg to .com and was able to successfully report the listings for all the seller's fake items. And it looks like ebay agreed they were fake. :smile1:

Hi~ can someone explain how to tell if a keychain is fake? Purses seem easier to detect because of the fabric, stitching etc. Is there something specific to look for with the key fobs?
Thanks!!

Mostly it's just familiarity with the styles and the color combinations, and checking the fonts of any Signature Cs on the charms. There are no simple Rules on fake keychains. The best thing to do is ask here, both BeenBurned and I are familiar with most Coach styles and details.

The important things to remember is that all genuine Breast Cancer Awareness keychains ONLY were made in a combination of Pink colors, any other color combinations are fake. And fire hydrants on the Pet Mix keychains were ONLY red. But there have been close fakes that came close to the right color combinations, so always ask first.

It's REALLY important to avoid fake keychains - like the cheapo Chinese ones that Wal-Mart and other stores had to recall a few years ago, fake name-brand keychains are usually LOADED with lead and even arsenic and other toxins and no one with children or pets should ever have anything that dangerous in their purse or house. Babies especially love bright shiny colors and like to chew on them, and that could be extremely dangerous.

Coach's plants have to follow laws regarding toxic materials - the counterfeiters don't care.

Could someone take a look at this Coach Court bag? I found it at a charity shop, and it looks barely used. Some of the details look good compared to other Court bags I've seen, but there are a few things that have me concerned: the inside bottom is suede instead of smooth leather, the handle edge area (the area that extend beyond the stitching) is slightly smaller, and the leather piping has a whiteish color back (which makes me think of pleather). I am not sure if these things are because it is an older bag or because it is a fake. Thanks!

It's a genuine Court Bag.

Just curious how come the No. is H82 -9870

i thought that it should be an alphabet instead of 2.

In addition, is the No's o too big?

haha, thanks in advance!

Some plant codes are indicated by a number.

This guide will help explain:

Here's the pertinent sentence from the link above:
The third or last digit was the plant code, originally a letter of the alphabet but with the expansion to Turkey, China and beyond, Coach ran out of letters and began using single numbers.
