Could someone take a look at this Coach Court bag? I found it at a charity shop, and it looks barely used. Some of the details look good compared to other Court bags I've seen, but there are a few things that have me concerned: the inside bottom is suede instead of smooth leather, the handle edge area (the area that extend beyond the stitching) is slightly smaller, and the leather piping has a whiteish color back (which makes me think of pleather). I am not sure if these things are because it is an older bag or because it is a fake. Thanks!

It looks genuine, and it's an older bag from the late 1980s.

Hello,

Please authenticate the item below. It appeared while I was searching for a Coach 9085. ;)

Item: VINTAGE COACH BRITISH TAN SHOULDER BAG HANDBAG PURSE # D5S-9085 EXCELLENT!

Listing: 111186433219

Seller: leatherandcollectables

Thank you,

Lady Edwards

Has to be fake, for more reasons than just the incorrect style number. The serial number is seriously off-center, the "o" in "No" is too big, and the detachable keyfob details are wrong. The bag is trying to be a Metropolis Zip, which I don't think was even introduced until 1997 so a D5S- serial prefix is almost 2 years too early, and the S plant code is also too early, that plant seems to have come online in late 1995 but ONLY for briefcases and travel bags. PLEASE REPORT.

Below is a keyfob from a genuine Metropolis Zip, we discussed that style just a week or two ago.

ETA - Tetondeb posted pics of a genuine Metropolis Zip # 9087 on October 3rd, check the keyfob.

There are some listed on Ebay too but I haven't checked all of them to see if they're all genuine. But that stamped keyfob is usually only found in genuine versions.

For the record, the seller, leatherandcollectables already sold that bag on October 2. I wonder whether the buyer returned it as fake although it could also have been a non-payer.

Hello Ladies,

Attempted to report to Ebay, but listing was gone!

Thanks! ;)

I just purchased this new willis bag and noticed the creed number is #19132, but the similer bags I found on ebay have a different creed # (#22382).
Could you please help me authenticate my purse?? Thank you so so much

The bag you won is authentic.

They're different styles.

19132 has no handle and just a long shoulder strap and legacy striped lining.

22382 has a handle and a removable shoulder strap with solid color lining.

This bag does have a handle. I don't really see any different in style
Actually, they are both Willises. 22382 is the newer style. 19132 is the older style. There are slight differences between them. You can see them in the Willis clubhouse.
