Hi, I'm new to buying purses. I've done a lot of research and I just bought this purse on ebay. I know it's not very safe to buy on ebay, but it appears (to me) anyway that this purse is pretty legit. But I'm worried because it's labeled as "rare" but it seems like a coach audrey 14316.

Here are the pictures and the stitching seems great and aligned, the hangtags seem good, and the creed is definitely readable. I'm just worried that its not authentic because I can't seem to find 14316 anywhere else other than ebay.

It's genuine. Horseshoe Belt Bag style number 4857 from the early 1990s.

Coach had photos of that style on their website in Fall 2009.

And it's NOT a problem if the only place you find a certain style is on Ebay. The bag looks good to me but other opinions are welcome.

Yeah I believe it is authentic too to be honest. The stitching is incredible, the handtags looks great, the leather is genuine (or at least feels and smells so), and the creed is of nice and not hard plastic material. The zipper (though I know is not always reliable) is ykk both in and out and the hardware has the "coach" brand on them and they are nicely aligned and spaced.

What I meant in regards to not being able to find it anywhere else, is not being able to find it on places such as Amazon (officially) etc. Other websites have it too, though I don't know how legitimate those websites are.

I'm going to take it as real. Any other opinions?

Just because a style doesn't appear on other websites should never raise questions about whether it's authentic. I wouldn't expect a style that's 4 years old to be anywhere on the internet except maybe for Ebay. MAYBE.

And YKK zippers don't prove anything. Please read the Salearea Guide on that subject.

It sounds like you're having a lot more trouble than I did. I initially went in through coach.com. I can't really remember if I filled in my phone details - if its a required field I must have. Anyway I was then contacted by email by Coach International- Australia, however the tag was sent from the USA. You could try just putting in a phone number if it will get your email through. Or you could write to them, their address is at the bottom of the Coach.com page .

I agree that the bag looks fine.

I have one other comment to add to what Hyacinth posted.

In addition to the fact that zipper brand has nothing to do with authenticity, generally, the more stamped hardware you find on a Coach bag, the more likely it is that the bag is fake.

Coach does stamp some hardware with logos some of the time, but not nearly as much as the fakers do!

I agree that the keychains in the listing all are authentic.
