Just go to their website and find their contact details and send them an email with your request. They will reply quite quickly with instructions which will include wanting the serial or registration number of the bag. I have since requested another two that are on their way!

I just emailed Coach Asia and this is their reply:
"Thank you for your email. Kindly to be informed that normally we do not stock spare parts for merchandises which produced more than three months. We are sorry to inform you that we may not be able to assist you for ordering the hangtag if your bag has been purchased more than three months. Also, any repairs must be accompanied by original sales receipt."

So disappointing. Sigh

Could you please help me to authenticate this bag?? I looked up the year of Winnie was 1997, but this creed number start with J5E-9023. I would like to hear your opinion on it. thanks alot.

You're correct about the original release date of the Winnie, it's listed as "NEW" in Coach's Summer 1997 catalog (see photo), so a 1995 creed date is a huge red flag. It also has a "Made in the United States" creed statement but an E plant code which only stands for Italy.

The Station Bag looks genuine but it's not vintage since it was made in China only 10 years ago.

Good Evening-
Can someone have a look at this purse set and let me know if it is indeed authentic or faux as I am thinking :) THX in advance!

Item: Coach Signature 'C' Hobo Shoulder bag with matching wallet

***Note *** L1182-1033 - although this supposed creed # is not in the title, they have posted it in the body of listing.

Listing number: 131001467978

Comments: The only reason I even came accross this set is because I just about bid on it, but that familiar voice that says is this too good to be true?? said to myself...why is this set so cheap when it looks brand new and every other bag in this similar style and print on Ebay is much much more expensive? Well, as I started to look at it and check the creed #, it is definately not a Coach bag creed, and even more definately not this bag. The seller has disclosed the creed on this bag right in the auction. But they have presented the creed pic itself as blurry making it impossible to see the font, stitching, etc. This is about the 3 or 4th time it has gone up for auction. I wanted to get a second opinion before I report the item.

THX again for any help you can give! I did copy the pic and try to enhance it to see if maybe they left a number out by of the creed by accident and what I can tell is that there are no more than 4 numbers on the right side although you cannot make them out-the seller has stated the number (which I put above) in the body of their listing.

I don't think it should be reported without a clear readable photo of the creed that actually shows a fake number. To me it looks like there's a 5-digit style number but the first digit is badly stamped and impossible to read - there are definitely 5 marks after the dash. The details look right for a Kristin and the bag shouldn't be reported based just on what the seller posts as the serial number.

Try emailing Coach USA directly, and just give them the full serial number of the bag and the hardware color and ask if they have a matching hangtag since the original one was lost. Use the Contact Us link under Customer Service at Coach.com

Hi ladies, I was hoping you could give me some info on this bag that I found on EBay. I have already bought it, and received it yesterday. Size is about 2 inches deep, 12 inches across and 11 inches tall. Strap drop is about 13 inches at longest setting. There are two pockets under the front flap, and one drop pocket inside with Coach metal tag. Any info you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Try their Jacksonville site in the USA. My tag was sent from there.

Thanks Hyacinth. I'm not having much luck at the moment. I will advise the seller. I have paid but she was holding off shipping until I OK'd it so I 'll get a refund.
The seller issued a full refund and has stated that she was unaware that it was fake and will not re-list. To think I got up at 3:00am to bid on it! I really should have learnt by now!

Thanks again for your help.

Ladies, please take a look at this one.. weird???

Item: Vintage Coach Willis
Seller: retiredvintageteacher
Item #: 271270293488

It's not really a Willis style - it's a genuine Sheridan Monticello, style 4226 from 1992-93 and it's pebbled, not smooth, leather. Ignore the strap length listed in the catalog page below, all the ones I've found have shorter straps and usually have Coach's classic clips instead of the one in the photo. Go by the seller's measurement of an 18 to 20-inch drop.

And in addition to the excellent Coach Guide :cutesy: mentioned in the seller's listing you may also want to read at least one of the other Guides from the same set that talked about the Italian-made Coach bags and mentioned the Sheridans. I recommend reading all six since they all concentrate on classic Coaches:

It looks genuine and a very early style probably from the early to mid-1970s. Please wait for one of the vintage experts to take a look.

Hello, trying to get a gift for the GF, and ran across some Coach bags on Craigslist. I understand i am not giving enough info to get a definitive answer, but i wanted someone who knows more about this stuff than I to give a second opinion: are there any obvious red flags for this purse? Going to check them out in person today so if there's anything i should be aware of it would be great to know.

Oh snap Hyacinth! I always forget about those darn Sheridans no matter how many times I read the guides - I must have a mental block when it comes to those. :shame: The serial number was throwing me off. She's purty though, isn't she? But, do I really need another black bag......... hmmmmm
ETA: Thanks for the catalog pic!

Is there an email address I can email my request to them? I tried filling up the contact us form on their web page but wasn't able to send it across as I do not have a valid US based telephone number. Thanks!

Going to check out this purse in person today, don't have any additional photos right now. Does anyone see anything here that should give me red flags?
