Hi! First ever post, first ever Coach bag (hopefully!). Could someone authenticate this for me? I've bought it but want to make sure its authentic before paying! Its my first Coach bag :) It doesn't say the country it was made in- is that the norm for this style of bag?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BNWT-Gorg...Rh86MpT813GGzgDvkbzTE%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

Ebay UK item number: 151118495685

Thanks in advance!

It looks genuine to me, but wait for more opinions.

The Country of Manufacture is usually on a separate tag inside the bag on recent Coaches.

It looks good to me too.

RE: 53bigbooka

I think you have the incorrect item number and link for 53bigbooka's listing.

I think this is what you're looking at:
Item 121174802868
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Coa...868?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item1c3694c1b4

My comment concerns the seller, 53bigbooka. Although the listing you're asking about might be okay, it's worth noting that the seller had listings for several fake Coach bags in early January. All had invalid serial numbers.

Then in February, the seller had another fake Coach bag, again with an invalid serial number.

And in April, another fake bag was listed and ultimately removed.

A seller who sells as many Coach bags as 53bigbooka should be authenticating them, or at least learning about how to read and understand serial numbers.

This is the creed from one of the (at least 6) fakes listed and removed. (And sadly, this bag had been deemed authentic by Carol Diva. :nono:

RE: station85 (on Etsy) is station_85 on ebay:
This seller's feedback shows she has a history of not accurately disclosing the condition of the items she sells.

I wouldn't buy from either seller.

Thanks @BeenBurned (as I pick my heart back up from the floor). This is good to know about the seller, I'll try to be patient and keep looking :)

I don't think it's worth taking the risk with sellers, but I don't know. That bag from 53bigbooka is looking real good but I'm trying really hard to look away..... lol.

After discussing 53bigbooka just 2 days ago, this (pffft) "top rated seller" has listed another fake with another invalid prefix/serial number.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Leath...762?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item1c36a9bc62

In case the listing is removed, here's a picture of THIS fake's creed:

Hi, I have another one. I like this style but last time I bought a fake:nogood:. Not sure what they mean about altered. Thanks in advance.

Seller: clbloom2007
Desc. NWT Gold Coach Leather
Item no. 330939563485
Link: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/330939563485
It looks authentic. That's weird that Nordstrom Rack would have it since it is so old. I think what might have happened is that someone returned it and even though it had been used, Nordstrom took it back. The color is camel.

Not only is the serial prefix an invalid number AND on the Fakes List at Ebay, but the N plant code belongs only to Mexico, and style 4182 belongs to a Lexington Shopper, NOT a Backpack. All the seller had to do was search for that style number at Ebay to find out it was fake. There's NO excuse for not doing a basic search.

Members, please report the fake from 53bigbooka and avoid that seller until they start authenticating their items.

It looks genuine, but why in the world did the seller describe it as deerskin when the creed plainly says it's cowhide? Probably an Envelope Portfolio, style 5190 from the late 1980s.

Thanks, Hyacinth! :) is the color putty?

I want this in burgundy!

You and Google are an awesome team... And of course this image is from one of your old tpf posts!
